| Because it's a battle shounen and the other new battle shounen anime of 2025 (Sakamoto Days and Tougen Anki) are even worse. Gachiakuta isn't any good either, though. Always remember: shounen MC's mother/father/legal guardian is killed in the first episode = the author is a hack. |
| Have you watched it, perchance? It's certainly inspired by the likes of Soul Eater and Fire Force, but that doesn't diminish it of its identity. |

| I'm currently reading the manga as well and I can say, the story will become much deeper and crazier in the future. Compared to the events so far now, not much has happened yet, so I would recommend to be patient. Just because it's edgy and not every single episode includes a big battle or big plot twist doesn't mean it's bad. The story of Gachiakuta builds up slowly. The animation and artstyle are very good and I'm happy with the adaptation so far. It's very unique and stylish and the power system is awesome. The story is very mysterious and no one really knows in which direction it will go. Furthermore, the main villain hasn't even been really introduced in the anime yet. He only has been shown in a few small scenes. Btw in the next episode, the "The Lady of Penta Arc" will start and things start to become crazy. |
