| They HAVE to stop with these half length episodes lol, fuck this was every bit of tense and awesome as I thought. So we finally got Guitane’s backstory and know at least a little bit more about him. Presumably the death of his son sent him down this dark path, but what happened to him? He picked the WRONG time period to have his crash out in because Lloyd is not having that shit. He crossed a line by nearly killing Babylon and the King/prince. Lloyd won’t forgive that. Guitane’s smirk there at the end has to mean he’s got something up his sleeve right? Real fight will start next week. Also, how did Guitane’s wickedness avoid detection during the pope confirmation process. It seems like it had something to do with his cross? Or is it that he believes he’s right and doesn’t have evil thoughts? Hopefully we get Anastasia v Sylphy next week as well. Hair down Sylphy with the maid habit??!! Hello?? She’s so pretty. I love how Anastasia was shook by her as well lol I’m so hype for this arc this show’s just getting better and better |

| Holy crap, you know shit is serious when even Lloyd isn't screwing around, not only because of Babylon ofc but I'm glad he is also pissed about Civil War, they genuinely made me care about them (the original and the new soul), I can't wait to see how even angrier (and a bit curious) Lloyd gets when he seems that he assimilated civil War's ability. |

| Great ep Dante looks sus Nah, the blind lady alr peeped Slypha WTF, I always thought it was Dante bc of the way that he looked but instead it was his holiness doing the tricking. Lloyd so clutch and love how he reached into his duffy to quickly dispose of him despite faint kill him. 9.5/10 |

| What an incredible episode. Lloyd-sama looked absolutely majestic during that catwalk, and his ultra combo on Guitane was insanely hype with those kicks. Now I understand why people say thick thighs save lives... |

| No doubt the most hype and tension-filled moment so far. Not just from the story side, but technically too, packed with stunning 3D rotating shots, a powerful OST, and perfect use of tropes. Gave me actual goosebumps by the end. |

| Well dang, I actually wasn’t expecting the pope himself to be the priest, with the name reveal being Guitane, but the scene where it showed the king’s reaction to the depiction of the priest did clue me in a little bit, since we knew at this point that he’s friends with Guitane I figured this was what he looked like when he was young, and that ended up coming into play, except it was actually what his son would have looked like instead, nice little sneakpeek there into what caused Guitane to become so demented in the first place. But yeah very cool reveal, and the opening showdown between Lloyd and Guitane has been very awesome already, was not expecting Lloyd to whoop ass right out the gate tho lol, but clearly Guitane isn’t out yet. Also, that one little scene of Talia in the nun clothing was really hot lol, same with the scene where Anastasia lifted Silpha’s skirt to show her sword strapped to her thigh, I appreciate it for the fanservice and also the smart play on Anastasia’s part. But with that, it looks like we’re about to get into some prime 7th Prince content again, I’m not necessarily someone that needs action to get excited but I can’t deny I am hyped to see another epic battle in this show after the investigation episodes before this, I also just wanna see more of Lloyd being all sadistic while wearing his short shorts lol, it doesn’t get old. |

Anyway, I’m glad they finally revealed some of Guitane’s backstory, but come on, bro, I was expecting a lot more from you. I mean, I get it. You’re fighting Lloyd of all people, so it makes sense. But still, at least try to make it a little less one-sided, you know? Otherwise, I just can’t help but feel a bit disappointed. That said, I can’t wait for the next episode! Super excited for the rest of the fight! |

The darkness in his soul is impenetrable to Luma Maxima (pseudo latin for "greatest light") because it is more wicked than what the gods consider evil making this darkness out of reach of them. So in other words he's OP from how much hatred he holds. |

| The GOAT makes his glorious entrance at last, Guitane is so friggin rad, I had my doubts about the choice for his voice actor, but it hit the nail right in the head! That aside, love the changes they made in this episode, the pacing was nice and all went straight to the point, loved how they expanded and re-arranged some moments here as setup, THIS is how an adaptation should've been handled, just remains to see if they stick the landing, which I am hopeful for. |

If i’m not mistaken it’s literally the same flow? Season 1 had character intros. Then Sylphas big fight till ep 10 and the whole Jade stuff started at 7/8? Are you just whining just to whine? Baby need a bottle?
| @TaySoXL444 There was more being conveyed within season 1's run, where this has mostly only been the 1 core story plot. The church. Comparing the two is like saying season 1 only focused on things related to the Jade. This season is very obviously only really focused on the church arc, and disappointment doesn't mean bad it just means I enjoyed season 1 more. Not gunna argue with some kid on the internet, so 🤷 ignored. |

| @TaySoXL444 Honestly, I'm glad you brought this point up. A few have been comparing this early phase of the arc to the second half of the first season (where it mainly popped off). It's fine if people think the recent episodes were boring or mediocre, but it definitely has been above in story & animation to the first part of season 1, which is really no more than just an introduction arc. Plus as a manga reader, I think this series has a great formula of building up tension with occasional action scenes to then just go wild with its climax. And that's a lot better than many similar stories that unfortunately can nail their setup but then just fall off afterwards. |

| Well it turns out the BBEG is the pope, really should have seen that coming from a mile away. Apparently he wants a conversation with god and the only way he can figure out a way to do that is to raise Hell on Earth. We already know Anastasia was in on it, and now I am thinking all twelve bishops will probably turn out to be lieutenants as well. |
| They really made the atmosphere as tense as possible and as I said there was no doubt it was the pope, they've been hinting at it from the start. But damn boi that Lloyd entrance and the rest was absolutely insane, cinema. Sylpha vs Anastasia should be soon too. Btw curious about what the king meant his two children? Is it only Lloyd and Saria? Also why is Albert the second prince the crown prince? Where are the other three siblings or more depending on whether they count prince and princess together or not. |

As an avid fan of the 7th prince, let me say this; you got it, from the Assasin's Guild arc (I also don't know the real arc name, but I like to name it so since it centers around them and keeps the twists around Jade hidden) onwards, the show is composed of more traditional arcs that center around one main event/threat, you can expect a similar formula to this current one, which I personally like to call the "Nativity arc". The very beginning is very scattered about and I'd say it mostly feels aimless due to just how vague and short any semblance of an arc or story line there is, at most you could divide the start into 3 different mini-arcs (Grim's, Tao's and Pazuzu's) but again, those are so short that they barely register as formal arcs, but they do work better as a whole in a single unit, probably the "Introduction arc". That said, I can see the appeal of the Introduction arc, it's quite fast-paced and has plenty of action, but actually lacks much substance, pacing issues were also a concern for many people when the Assasin's Guild arc was going half-way, don't worry, seems like some people can't pay attention to dialogue unless something flashy happens every 3 or so seconds. That said, I'll say the pacing is even better in the manga and it's one of my favorite things about it, in fact, nothing against the anime adaptation, but it does feel rather slow in comparison, but that's just a quirk of animation. At the end of the day, to each their own, I also like this new formula better, it's familiar enough but also injects a lot of unique elements to make it feel fresh, tense and engaging, something very few works with OP characters are able to do, if you plan on reading the manga, expect something truly magical. |
