| That's character rivalries and bonds in a nutshell. Hopefully Tina gets used to it now that Lynee seems to be a regular student. Lydia still shows her tough side no matter who stands before. I doubt that will change any time soon but her personality is one of the more tougher ones this season. I can't stand Gerald though, the King's son...he has a huge ego and should know his place. |

| Wouldn’t be a fantasy school anime without a POS stuck up noble/member of royalty and Gerald is our obligatory entry in this show. I’m sure he’s not gonna take being punished by his father quietly and will come up with some bullshit plot that will likely get him disowned by his father, make Allen become a hero and praised by the king etc etc. You read one of these LNs, you’ve read em all. The king’s an idiot for not more directly chastising his son who was clearly in the wrong as you could tell by how he berated Allen, lydia and made racially insensitive comments. Stupid. Respect to Lydia tho for standing up for Allen even at the potential cost of her own station, shows how much she loves him and is best girl! “You can’t leave me. | Dam there really are a ton of characters who like Allen, I wonder if any of them will become his partner one day. The show is more subtle with romance but its definitely there, I would assume either Tina or Lydia would be that person if the show ever pushes for a actual relationship. But idk Allen's too nonchalant idk if he even cares. I gotta praise the art style again I really love the detailing this anime puts into certain things especially clothing its all very pretty. Plus I love how magic gets explained and how it works in this anime. Im curious with Mana capacity if its something your born with or if you can develop it to become larger over time. Also I love that Tina kept that staff its super cool |

| So Lydia was indeed standing up for Allen when she went on a tirade against the prince, good for her and for Allen defending her. This episode showed a bunch of characters including Lydia's little sister and her brother (not sure if he's older than her), Tina and her sister, the a-hole prince Gerard, and even Allen's step-sister (I'm pretty sure she's his step-sister). Allen also got a 3rd loli to teach in Lynne whom is a rival to Tina and speaking of rivals, I think Lydia is #1 (at least in her book) and I can only imagine the rage that she'll show if she sees someone like Tina flirting with him. At least this time it was only Ellie tripping with Allen saving her and the cups of tea from spilling everywhere haha. |
| Allen is the best type of teacher: showing cool things and letting you keep trying to do it yourself! The competition for Allen's love is more and more complicated but only one of the girls has a kiss for now! |

| @Marinate1016 the spoilers are some Lydia backstory stuff. Mostly minor. Anyway, the books haven't ended, but I don't think you need to worry about Lydia/Allen ship sailing. Allen is definitely into her, unlike the others. The author knows this too (he acknowledged that Lydia is way more popular than the others in one of the afterwords) But yeah the loli harem sucks. What really blows though is that the best Lydia moments are in Volumes 10 - 12, which this anime is not going to adapt. |
| Lydia's interference against the usual asshole of the royal nobility, as such with Prince Gerard thinking that he's leaps above her and accepting a failure like Allen into her family, it's not wrong for her to fight back against someone slandering his name, and his professor pulling strings to get to this point. And Lynne having to find both Tina and Ellie by her side and racing to the Leinster residence for the girls to find their tutor, they just had to find him and Lydia "flirting" outside their home, even the cheek for Lydia to relinquish everything just to be with Allen, girl's got guts and a fiery love for him, even allowing her own younger sister to be tutored by him for that too. Caren's reassurance, plus Stella's surprise visit, and now with the Academy's headmaster's business away for the tutor to act as a temporary teacher, she's more than happy to take him in...to teach Tina, Ellie and Lynne's class. And as much as Lynne likes to goad herself over Tina as the two best students of their year, Allen keeping the status quo to teach the class in general, shows his chops as the instructor that could not formally be, impressing the class with his magic tricks and showing that hard work precedents everything that he and the people around him does. Allen may have lost his position as a court sorcerer, but he's definitely fit to be a teacher...and be treated as is by the girls around him should he "make a move" on either one of them. God, all the men are jealous for someone like Allen... |

Even considering his kingship, given how he is wasting Allen's clearly amazing potential just to coddle his son who clearly needs some serious discipline...Bad father and bad king.
