It seems Takeru has gained much better control of his powers now. That's thanks to Tsukimiya but now, she's involved with him wherever he goes. You can also tell how much he cares about Tsukimiya.

This anime really treasures their relationship. What a contrast since Takeru first appeared. More events going behind the scenes this episode too so this seems like a buildup episode.

this show keeps getting better and better when it comes to plot, while production value is not up there, it can be considered average, story itself has me hooked

I saw it coming from a few episodes already that the "oni" were just people from an alternate universe.
Now what's left to discover is how Seimei is making this all up. it seems that the black mist has only started appearing after he got the head position.

I think Tsukimiya also hiding something as well, and she's probably very powerful, perharps that's why she appear in Takeru's dream in the first place, and the time travel power Takeru has probably belong to her.

It's so dreamy
Oh, fantasy free me
So you can't see me
No, not at all

In another dimension
With voyeuristic intention
Well-secluded
I see all

With a bit of a mind flip
You're into the time slip
And nothing can ever be the same

You're spaced out on sensation
Like you're under sedation
Let's do the Time Warp again

Amazing development this episode, really threw my head for a spin and made the anime all the better. Deserves at least a 7.5 now IMO

The ending was kinda insane. Good luck next time, can't get much worse than this xD

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

Oh crap, that was a fun twist, I knew it was going to be worth to watch this show, I had a feeling about it when the mega Oni also had that umbilical spiritual cord or whatever it is.

And the plot thickens. Although i'm not satisfied yet cause of the mysteries keep adding up before we get a clear idea of the enemies and his RBD power.Welp in the end i enjoyed it now that the mc atleast had a good hang of his powers. Can't wait for next week i really want to know which side he will pick. It keeps getting better and deserves a higher rating.

cant help but being hooked by this anime more and more, cant help, the plot are just great
we didnt even get the answer about why Takeru's here and how did he get the RBD power, or why does he have the Denji Heian-Kyo mark in the first place, why does Takeru keep seeing Tsukimiya in his dream. and now we get something like, wtf is this?

well in my theory, it's probably something more like universe tournamnet or something, where every 1000 years, every universe will kill each other without know that it was an alternate universe. And seeing from how the previos life, Seimei said that This Denji Heian-Kyo are finished so casually, probably indicate that he loses his game and said it is what it is. And probably Takeru didnt have the power to Return by Death, but instead, He reincarnated to an alternate universe instead, which explain why are there a change of event during the curent life cycle. We never found the Monster using an onmyouji technique in the 1st period right, I acually started getting tricky from the 2nd period attact where there is gate teleporting monster, which probably also an onmyouji technique, and we can confirm it when we saw the Demon God using it. But after that life was ended, Iruka and his baldy friend died because the monster can use a technique
That means, there's a lot of alternate universe who are fighting each other, and every universe has a diffrent but slightly simmiliar to each other.

dang.... next episode will be wild

It looks like there are no Oni. They're just Alternative versions of the people of the city, basically different timelines maybe. It looks like Seimei dude has them raid each other, eventually culminating in the big battle against the "oni ***" which is just the giant shikigami of another timeline

It looks like Seimei is the real villain here and this whole farce serves as fuel to him. At least that is what I think might be going on.

@pixelante IMO, Seimei is more like Kyuubey from Madoka or Koemushi from Bokurano: They are not good people, but they work against a greater "evil" and that's probably the only option they can think of.

Can't say it's getting better (the production quality is still the same; the use of the 3DCG is still decent), but the new twist deffo makes me interested in the story more than the premise!

What kind of game is this? Is he really going to restart every single episode? Someone said here that it's like a war between the same people but from different dimensions. It's odd, it's interesting, I don't understand s***, but I'll keep watching, of course.

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

Ah wow. Loved the twist, and so looking like it's actually Seimei who is "evil" and I guess (unless he's just fully evil) he's doing it for some "greater good" sort of motivation to make humanity stronger.

Was in awe by the twist at the end though, and gained a lot more respect for this show after this episode.

While Takeru has found his Yasha Mode with Tsukimiya's mask, Seimei, however, finds an anomaly with the World Whittle that she entrusted him with. However, him picking Tsukimiya to be the main dancer for the Centennial Pandemonium, knowing that he's a ton of danger with his untrustworthiness, they decide to go along with the narrative for now, as is Takeru inviting both Yura and Atsunaga for a small celebration being Five Stars, as well as filling them in on the next oni god's attack.

With the Centennial Pandemonium in session, the onmyoji each split to their designated positions, and they each did their efforts alright to defeat the oni god. But what ended transpiring is that Takeru has opened his eyes to the world, after losing the crest to his hand, seeing what Seimei and the others could see, are people being experimented on as oni, destroyed to build sustenance to the oni.

An illusion, or just plain ignorance? Takeru is in for a loop...

That ending was pretty shocking. Oni's aren't just people, but they're the trapped civilians and onmyouji too!

But that doesn't explain the Yura who killed Takeru also getting killed by the Yura in the mech... So maybe the black mist is time displaced as well???

I'm sure if the onmyouji knew the truth, they'd not be so willing to participate in these battles.
