I started the first episode but couldn't get into it, then I tried finishing the first episode at least but I just couldn't get behind the heroine. It looks like the type of cute, shy x bold, romance anime I love (like Kimi ni todoke) and I really wanna get into it, so do y'all think its worth the watch?

It has a lot of tropes in it and if you're looking for something unique it's not for you.

Definitely a very up-beat happy series that if you're looking for something in the background or casually watch it's not bad.

it's very similar to Kimi ni Todoke, but a little more corny yet less fun. I enjoyed the cheesy but wholesome friendship parts more than the romance side of it.

Watch Skip to Loafer instead. It's got the same type of characters, but they have better chemistry, and it has a better plot.

Since you like Kimi ni Todoke, this is definitely worth giving at least a couple more episodes to see if the heroine can grow on you. I found her a little frustrating at times too, but she experiences beautiful growth and character development, and I liked the supporting characters too. I looked forward to this anime every week when it was airing. I think one of the final episodes was really well received from a production standpoint too. I hope you like it but don’t force it if you can’t get there after the third episode. There are many others to enjoy! :)

I thought it was decent. Nothing groundbreaking nor complete trash. I'm generally not a fan of the intensely shy MC with zero real reason to be who never grows, but she does actually have a pretty decent reason, familial. Won't say more than that.

And she does actually grow, even if it's only a little. Give it another try - it's only 12 episodes so it isn't too bad. I also think it's worth watching things we don't think are the best so the things that are stand out more.

It's definitely worth watching if you are not allergic to tropes.
I liked the OSTs of this anime a lot. The story is alright and you will definitely find it sweet at a few moments. It might be slow series but has a decent progression except Episode 11th of this series, which was a real surprise.

I enjoyed it it and thought it was a lot of fun. as others have said it is a bit tropey but I thought it was adorable

Absolutely not. I started watching this for the first time to watch shoujo, but it's so boring. While I can empathize with the main character, the atmosphere is overly dramatic, and I don't like it. The male MC doesn't seem realistic at all. I also don't like the art style.

mixture of kimi ni todoke and skip to loafer but lacks the depth and heartf3lt emotions of kimi ni todoke and humour of skip to loafer. other than that the visuals and music is really nice, kinda cheesy but you might like it.

The beginning is indeed not the best, but as the show progresses it gets better :)

The heroine grows as a person/character too, which helps getting behind her

The story isn't that special, it's not really outstanding in any way, neither in terms of romance nor the funny scenes or characters. If you didn't like Ishimori in the first episode, the series is probably not for you.

are you mean it when you saying this? cuz its give the impression of you comparing both show... no way you thought Kimi ni Todoke was the same quality as this anime. no hate but from the story, the character, the pace, they got different in quality, even KnT have some mainstrram trope, they deliver the story really good, its enjoyable, i invested on their relationship and character.
meanwhile this show is... uhhh, boring trope, boring story, don't have the consistency for the anime style, the fl character development kinda forced, like, i can't invested with the character or their relationship

@MamamaDini they're both disappointing shows, both are boring, both stories are nothing to write home about and both fl development is forced. the whole thing where everyone looks at sawako differently is so lame and unrealistic, especially since she's a pretty girl but for the ''plot'' we have to pretend she isn't? the main couple is boring and the constant misunderstandings are just tiring. pin and sanada are the only characters even worth caring about. it takes all of s1 to even get somewhere and then they backtrack with more misunderstanding in s2 and by then, there's barely anything to get invested in.

yeah, the series was extremely hyped by the manga readers if they didn't hype it up, I think I probably would've rated it higher, since it isn't bad, but it isn't exactly a masterpiece either.

Really depends if your time is precious don't watch it otherwise the story is pretty simple the friendship aspect is better in story compared to romance it's really the kind of series you can watch if you're free have time or are bored I watched when I was bored it was fine not really unique the story is

ml seems like cool guy/ bully but helps fl to make friends,talk,be more open and saying, conversational.

the bullies later became friend wasn't S huge fan of that but it's s fine anime not worth watching in sense you won't miss out on something great but you can watch if you wanna timepass if anything it was hyped on social media a Little in the start .

It's about as stereotypical as a show like this can get. If you're in the mood for something simple and feel-good, it'll be alright.

If you really want something other than that, check it out at another time.
