Yami Shibai 14 Episode 8 Discussion

I thought we were in for a more wholesome one, like maybe the dad was already dead and he would get to see his son one more time, but nope, instead we got a dad that somehow killed his son and is stuck trying to get his forgiveness playing a broken claw machine. Still tho, I thought this was good, another one of the better episodes imo, I like these more sentimental stories quite a bit, it seems like they hit more often than not compared to the spooky ones.

@TheColonel76 This may be one of the saddest episodes ever. I don't know if was an accident or abuse, or murder. But the Son is dead & won't forgive the Father. And he thinks an old gimmick like that would help? TRAGIC.

Yep, knew the kid would be dead and dad would be to blame somehow. Kinda reminded me of the capsule toy machine ep from way back. Even further back than I thought since it was season 2.

@TheColonel76 Don't you think, this was already used before in previous season? Where the dad was telling fake story to his imaginary son, he's hiding himself from the truth that he left his girlfriend to die.

You said what I was thinking. This one was pretty sad. I doubt the "ghost" is real. I think the man is just driven mad by guilt and grief.
