I mean it is rated R. It is not really for kids, and I don't consider it "shounen" simply because it's put out in the biggest manga publication on the planet which just so happens to be called "shounen jump".

There's more family friendly anime out there. This is more of a goofy one for young adults.

no, just no. A big aspect of this anime is the crazy themes, since that's sort of the entirely of the anime. the plot is literally about a guy getting his balls stolen, so obviously, it's gonna have some crazy themes and R rated content. this is like saying Attack on Titan is trying to be more mature with all it's bloodshed. it's not some sort of excuse to make the anime for older audiences, it's just how the anime is made. also calling it a lack of talent is pain idiotic, the anime was one of the most popular of the season, was rated in the top 100 of all anime created throughout time, and is more than you could do if your talent was multiplied by billions (0×1000000000=0)

With the sheer confusion that is your anime list. It's wild that you dropped Dan Da Dan.

You complain about it being R rated in episode 1. But then give Highschool dxd new a 10/10 is wild.

You also dropped Frieren, Attack On Titan season 2, Spy x Family (you also started watching season 1 part 2 before finishing part 1 then also dropped it.) You also did the same thing with That Time I Got Reincarnated as a slime season 2.

While also giving anime of similar genres, themes and quaity 10/10.

Shounen is a demographic not a genre. Shounen/Seinen category only means that the series is published in a Shounen/Seinen magazine, that's it. You don't see those tags from a light novel adaptation. Doesn't matter if it has very mature scene or not, if its published in Shounen magazine then it will be considered as a Shounen manga. AoT also has graphic violence but it still got published in a Shounen manga, while Non Non Biyori is a very chill story about life in the countryside but got published in a Seinen magazine

There is rated R scene in episode 1 because aliens experience on people in real life too for similar reason according to witnesses of alien abduction. And the cliffhanger in the last episode is because the 24 episodes were cut into two seasons because of production issues

Everyone arguing if this anime is valid or not. It's a valid and great anime, it already got a season 2. obviously the majority of people love it and obviously it will get hate. that's what good anime get, haters. the main concern is that the characters in the anime are underage but overall still a great anime. it doesn't justify the amount of 18+ content you see in it when there are underage characters but besides that I can still get through the anime because that isn't the main focus and it isn't thrown in your face in every episode. I'm enjoying the fight scenes and transformations more than anything.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.
