Season 3 overrated?

As you can see with the title, i think season 3 was might've been largely overrated and i don't think im alone in thinking that. The ending was alright, but everything leading up to it was just meh. Personally i think it might have dragged on for too long.

What are your thoughts on season 3 as opposed to season 2 & 1?

You are damn right. It seems the original reason why people liked this show, i.e. Hikigaya's intriguing monologues and his personality, has been completely lost, and this show has turned into some romance drama which you can't seem to make anything of besides the ending. S1 was my all time favorite Slice of Life High school anime, but S3 has completely disappointed me. It has lost the appeal.

it's just the same level as season 2. Season 1 was the best.

I really hope it's just the sequel effect striking because I don't understand how someone would prefer season 3 over season 1 or even season 2.

tbh I started watching it bc of yukinon and hachiman being together at the end so that's probably why I liked s3 more

Rather "Season 3 is unfairly hated"

Look at how nearly all of the top-rated reviews throw shit at the show, the number of posts saying it's bad/overrated, and the fights that break out in the threads of each episode.

I also think this season is not the best, but come on, they act like this show is rubbish when at worst it's mediocre.

S3 is probably the most cliche season, but it's still better than S1. At least S3 builds on the development that was in S2. S1 is just comedy and it's the one that gives Hachiman that "Edgy kid" image.

Hachiman was only good for his edgy personality. Without it, what does he really have that is interesting?

You fellas don’t want to admit that season 1 is best. This show is mostly known for It's mc's edgy and hard hitter type personality.without the characteristics of the mc the show is just another ronantic tragic drama.
Yeah season one was really enjoyable but it's quality dropped after the second half of season 2. They could have make this series a brand which didn't happend actually 😪

Many elitists are here. So as a simple anime watcher, I'll say no. Everything is overrated for someone also underrated for some too. It's all come down to the viewer & his choice in anime. That's all there is to it.

I think season 3 was kind of ruined in my opinion. There didn’t happen much except for the ending and there was no build up towards the ending. I hoped to see all the characters having enough screen time as well instead of just seeing them once at the prom. Overall it wasn’t that bad of a season but compared to season 1 and 2 it was definitely a lot worse. I had really high hopes for this season because of the quality of the previous seasons but it didn’t live up to the expectations.

Overrated as f*ck. S1 is much better (mostly because of Hachiman edginess is fun to watch). S2 and S3 are mostly crappy drama that need 200IQ just to understand what the characters talking about (except they're talking about plain boring and unnecessary drama, that isn't as impressive as their dialogue/monologue)
