| Lol @ Team Rocket crying at Pikachu's resolve, I saw your eyes water Jessie!! xD That was a great moment, though. I never forget that time when they refused to evolve Pikachu. Pikachu > Raichu I dunno why, but (in english at least) Brock's voice sounds a bit off sometimes, like he's hesitating every time he speaks or something. Or perhaps out of place. But it sounds kinda bad to me. Either way he's still great. |

| This pasing is MUCH faster than what I remember. How are they expecting the remaining 262 episodes to cover 5 gym leaders + the elite four? Well... I'm looking forward to find out. Great episode btw. As always. |
| The Rocket team supported Pikachu in his battle against Raichu, it was nice. I suppose beating a Raichu with a Pikachu makes him deserve his two other medals or at least gives him more value. |

| one of the greatest pkmn episodes from the whole series, for couple of reasons: - since ep1, there was hardly ash&pikachu development, this episode took their development for what it should be. - first time ash getting badge by fair fight and not because the gym leader was nice (and it's actually one of the few times it happens in the kanto season), and first time for him to actually use strategy (though to be from brock). - team rocket not annoying. |
| Cute episode and it did a perfect job with the ash and pikachu duo. It's quite crazy how pikachu was so close to becoming a raichu this episode but as expected, pikachu will always be pikachu. Team rocket were awesome this episode and I'm really starting to love them |

| Pikachu being scared and trying to avoid fights he think he can't win never gets old. Sooo cute. But in this episode he was also cutely determined. I had forgotten the ending of this episode. So Ash actually got at least one insignia by skillfully defeating the gym leader. But didn't another episode say that a Raichu had 2m? Only Surge is huge. |
