We all know this would happen with weak ratings and like his previous work iron knight Tomohiro Yagi's Red sprite which was a pilot from Jump next and was fully promoted as a series for weekly shonen jump is now cancelled. And since this series is about to be cancelled and we are about to wait for the now sudden final chapter this week here is a picture i made to commemorate its cancellation ,It shows the weekly shonen jump issue introducing the Red sprite is now stamped with black red fonted cancellation stamp covered in black lightning I feel sorry for Yagi, his last two series are cancelled ,So i think it's better he should maybe focus on digital webcomic instead maybe seinen about a 17 year old man and his young sibling fighting against evil beings in the darker world much like his first work goblin night. But it should be influenced from lone wolf and cub.Though he should find a real job for a living to fund his own digital webcomic project. Or maybe he should continue to work in jump or something else to come up with a better idea or at least move to different publishing company to start over but maybe seinen. |

SJ is the elite of the elite. Once you get in, you better not let your ratings drop, or your ass is canned. It's a shame, too, because I actually liked Red Sprite... |

Well, it's a shame that 's cancelled. This story had potential I hope Yagi get's serialized again soon. Let's hope that future Jump series ( like Demon's Plan ) don't get the axe like this. |

this manga while kind of predictable still had a lot of potential same as the big three. I think they have to at least give a manga 20-25 chapters. Because the latest chapter had so much momentum in it this is saddening |

They denied snk, I doubt they will make the same mistake again. Even if you dont like it, at least give it props for being different from the rest, shounen jump has started to realize that the audience is now more into darker tone series, than battle shounen or harem manga for eg, time is changing, shounen jump isn't the power house as it once was, and now they are finally realising it. On topic, I drop this series after reading about 20 pages, it is your run of the mill series. Not surprise at all. |

Well that sounds pretty bad, although I haven't read the manga myself but I was planning to since it got some decent reception on my end and the feedback from twitter a bit and Facebook. Apparently this is the mangaka's second time where his work got axed, and that in itself is pretty sour if you ask me. |

I really liked Red Sprite. It's a shame it's being cancelled. I liked how there was the main boy, but then he was gathering up the other characters. A bit of a change from one character just being awesome the whole time. It was just getting more interesting with the plasmarrows on the opposing side and the ash warriors, too! I would definitely have read more of it. |
