| Another awesome episode. The scenes in the Art Club classroom were very funny. Can't wait for the next one, moved the score from 8 to a 9. |
| I generally fall into the "study a little bit every day" scheme when it comes to course knowledge. ^^; Paying enough attention in class and doing homework is sufficient. But I agree with writing a little notebook, as it's a form of studying. You force yourself to compile all the information compactly, but you end up remembering it all. Songs only work -on occasion-. I complained about Kate's accent before, but now it's just so fun to listen to .. to see how southern it's going to become this time. ^^; |

| That was a rather accurate representation of high schoolers studying, actually -- no one really knows what they're doing, but they manage anyway. And there's that one guy who sits in the corner rolling his eyes because he already gets everything. Also, Kate is hilarious. |

| Everyone has different studying methods ... I wish I was as disciplined as the club president! :P That would certainly make like a lot easier haha XD I'm horrible at tongue twisters too D: Poor Kate ... and YES, katakana's difficult! I totally agree ... some of them look the same T_T Hiragana's way easier lol :( Ao doesn't get much help from Sora, does he? Having to explain math to her ... haha :P Well drinking tea is always nice to help calm you down eh :P "Why" do people study ... nice to hear about Kurihara's reason and Ao's too XD Looks like there'll be more cats next episode :O Also ... typsetting was a little different this episode? Title and the font I for stuff I think ... then again, it might just be this episode because it was a v3. WHO KNOWS O_O |

| I really do love the sound design in Sketchbook. When Sora stepped into the art room to get her thermos cup, you could hear in the background various ambiance of club activities in the distance. It's subtle, but it only works where there's no OST playing and it's focused on the emptiness of the room. I know this exists in many other anime, but Sketchbook uses it to reinforce its peaceful and quaint atmosphere. Also, the gags are understated but still fun. The eraser prank, wow. Simple? Evil? Simply evil. The ending bit with Hazuki fixing the lead in her mechanical pencil? Truly the struggle of conserving supplies. Sketchbook is really all about the smaller things in life, and it's ridiculously charming when it highlights the minor inconveniences that make up an ordinary day. It really does remind me of Aria the Animation. |
| People have lots of different motivations, why they study, yeah.. It seems as if maybe some students don't study at all, lol.. But it's probably just that anime isn't about it, so we don't see it.. They might or might not do something, we don't really see them in classes, for example, but it doesn't mean they skip their classes, lol.. |

| What Sasaki-san/Juju-kun says here is really quite cool Kiguchi Ichiyou was a writer who wrote stories ( no way ). Like in "にごり江" (Nihongo* for "Troubled Waters"), where a waitress has an affair with a rich married man until he goes broke. Then he kills her after she gets another guy.. dark. The Thirteenth Night and Child's Play are in a similar style. It's like beauty getting ruined by cruelty, two great heights.. like *comparing heights*? Akiko Yosano. Just by looking at those photos you could say *disorderly hair* They're both very influential for women's literature in Japan! Or so the internet says. Ichiyou-san's face is even on the 5K yen note. The yen notes have some cool art & history too but that's for another time. Is it? When can you even bring that up? I couldn't find out who Koudano Hanrou is... that might be intentional, since it would mean that even with this great technique she got it wrong aaaaanyway, that was a lot of useless infor- i mean trivia!
