| Nice little mini-arc, now onto the biggest one of One Piece yet, DRESSROSA~~! |

| Ends of this short a little boring arc, although the last 3 minutes of the episodes was great, when Donflamingo leaves of Shichibukai!!!!! The next episode begin the arc longer of One Piece!!!! |

| To put canonical content at the end of questionable filler like that feels a bit odd. I checked a filler list and it considered the entire episode filler, so I wonder if we will recap this Doflamingo moment again next episode or if people who skipped this ended up missing it in all its glory. Regardless, the end of the Breed saga was a little silly in the way his power worked but the solution to it in Law figuring it out and saving the day was smart and satisfying. Moments like Caesar being carried along with them, or Luffy not being able to hear the others, or Chopper translating for the passionate dugong were all nice. My complaints from last episode fit here as well but instead of talking about that I’ll talk about the canonical content. The transition to it was clean! The morning had come and it was time to see what Doflamingo’s move was. And his move? To resign. He was forced into a corner and now he’s calling Law to take the next step. In fact, the long period of hearing the phone ring on and on before he answered was tense. It built up a sense of serious anticipation, and we saw Doflamingo, the king of Dressrosa, getting called by so many phones and having his people be distraught. Further, we had Luffy and Law’s alliance showcased to the world and I noticed the wonderful detail that Bepo is in the background of Law’s wanted poster completely mirroring Usopp being in Luffy’s. On top of that, more word spread across the world that Kid, Apoo and Hawkins created an alliance themselves creating a serious sense of fear for what is to come. The worst generation is coming together. But, for now Law doesn’t want them to worry about anyone but Doflamingo. Overall the direction One Piece is going with Law and Doflamingo is giving me chills, I absolutely love it and these characters. The second alliance in the distance and the structures of the Emperors and gosh.. I look forward to everywhere this anime goes. |
| I hope that bastard drowned lul Doflamingo really did resign from his position in the Seven Warlords just to get Caesar back. It just goes for show that being in an Emperor's good graces is something so valuable that it warrants sacrificing a position as important as that. |

| interesting, it wasn't listed as filler but it was indeed the end of the filler up until the moment the seagull dropped the newspaper for Brook! well 4 minutes of canon is still canon loooooove that Flamenco guitar at the end, hooo boy Dressrosa is gonna be good |

| Filler finally done. That power still made no sense and just seems like it was a shoe-horned name in order to get a word pun out of it. If they'd had another episode so it wasn't so rushed and also not tried to make the stakes so high it could've been ok, but first filler I'm really glad to see the back of. As has been the unfortunate trend for several episodes now, the only noteworthy part came in the concluding few minutes. The news of the 2 alliances has broken out (Law may have a chance of getting away with it for a while as it's to take down a Emperor), and Doflamingo actually went and resigned. Just one relatively small action (that required a lot of trouble to achieve) shook things up massively. The question now is whether Law is going to honour the negotiation terms and return Caesar to Doflamingo. |

| bye bye filler arc i don’t think doflamingo actually quit being a warlord like that’s too convenient seems more like both law and doflamingo are trying to out-“all accorinding to keikaku” each other |
| 90% of the episode was meh. Law outsmarting everyone continues to be peak. But didn’t care much for the animals. Glad the filler is over. Last 10% was interesting world knows about Luffy and law now. I bet we get kid and his gang fighting Luffy, law, and Zoro at some point. Then the biggest is doflamingo resigned. No way law gives him Caesar. Kind of surprised me doflamingo did that. Each must have a plan. Excited to see what happens next 100+ episode arc incoming! |
