Pretty good, but not as good as the main series. Ending was a bit sequelbaity, but at least the next movie is coming out later this year.

absolutely incredible, I loved this movie so much.
a bit less than the main show but honestly, a masterpiece.

similar to how Palpatine returned, Kyuubey trapped and experimented on Homura causing this whole ruckus and effectively mami milking the madoka series. i find the movie not that bad tho. contrasting the concept of selfless love by making Homura a yandere demon was an interesting approach. I find the side characters are a bit lack luster tho. Mami is just a cheese (is this a cow reference?) and is somehow a friend with bebe, who wants to eat cheese. Miki is just a Madoka's sidekick, and Sakura was just there for plot of figuring out the world is just an illusion. i guess it's to be expected cus homura is the central part of the movie, but colorful characters and the whole interaction between them were what made the tv series enjoyable to me and the movie clearly lacked in this department. maybe homura should have just moved on with the whole xxxyears of obsession and get another girl. anyways, good movie, and fu Kyuubey. 7/10
