| 5D's is so dark and grow up the the last bast show yugioh all of them have the frindship theme (yugi can be read as friendship a word trick) but 5D's is take that to darker aria batryal - enviy i will not be sprise if sameone dei in these show more thin one to 5Ds = yugi + code geass |

| I must be an idiot. I only just realized this episode that the flashes where Yusei draws a card and you see a bunch of cards being connected by light is Yusei's (winning) strategy/combo. It's cool that they show us what's going through his head. Oh no, Yusei's bike looks like it's ready to break... The people were gathered to be sacrifices? Oddly enough, that's not too far from Godwin's plans either. Yusei's wound looks pretty bad. I figured out Rally was a boy sometime along the way, but I can see why people would think he's a girl. Saiga's being awesome again, saving the D Wheeler like that. Were those squishy sound effects really necessary when Yusei was being treated? DX It made things seems so much more painful. Especially since I don't think he got much anesthetics. |

| and we finally got to see the earthbound gods in action! even though the cards are ABSOLUTELY terrible, it did feel thrilling to see kiryu summon it. even though the duel didn't technically have an outcome, i always consider this to be one of yusei's losses. he really had no way to get out of it. it was really nice to see yusei's friends do everything they could to get the runner back!! they weren't the smartest about it (should've given out a deck at once tbh) but they were desperate, so i don't blame them for that. can't wait to see how yusei grows from this duel! this first dark signer duel was already so epic. i bet the other ones will be fantastic as well! |

| I consider this to be one of the worst 5D's episodes for two reasons. The first being Yusei dodging defeat because his D-Wheel malfunctioned. It was such a stupid plot device. He should've lost considering that he was such a massive Gary Stu. All the writer would've had to do is make the Crimson Dragon appear to spare Yusei from losing his soul or whatever instead of the duel being interrupted before Yusei could lose. The second was Yusei's friends since their little misadventures annoyed the hell out of me and I'm just glad that this is basically the last time we'll see them play a big part (aside from Rally, sigh). Also I laughed that Crow put Yusei on his D-Wheel face down despite his injury being on his abdomen. That must've caused Yusei so much more pain lol. |
| oh man, shit took quite a painful turn, Kalin brings out another boss monster, the Earthbound Immortal, and it doesn't go well. Yusei manages to avoid the attack.. thanks to his duel runner breaking down. He technically lost but his soul and mark is spared, but unfortunately he ended up getting injured. Kalin will pay for all this. Meanwhile Rally, Blitz, Tank, and Nervin haul Yusei's duel runner while Crow takes Yusei to Martha's place for care. Rally, Blitz, Tank, and Nervin encounter gangsters in outcast alley, first they pay up their cards, then their clothes, all to protect Yusei's duel runner as it is a symbol of friendship and they helped him build it. That traitor who was "guiding" Yusei's friends on navigating the alley only to lead them to a group waiting to steal and run away with it, but thankfully Blister comes in clutch to scare them away pretending he was sector security. Yusei should probably upgrade his deck and duel rider too, there are going to be even more tougher battle down the line for sure |
