That picture at Rikako's house is like the old worm lady that Spongebob dated.

I feel like this series lacks the chilling factor some other serial killer arcs could have. It's still entertaining, but it just doesn't hit the same.

Pretty disturbing how a high schooler is totally fine just killing and dismembering fellow students...

she wants to avenge her father who initially wanted people to learn control over themselves instead of being reliant on machines but then once the stress relieving machines and psycho pass technology came out, he opened arms to it and became so dependent that he lost control and became addicted to seeking help instead of trying to do some on his own. his daughter is trying to continue his art in real life to avenge him and his work and also she crazy lmao. she is very aware though that she is a toy of makishima which is interesting as the previous 2 characters (the drone man and the internet icon man) didn't know who he was or didn't know they were toys ready to be disposed of.

Makishima is a twisted being, watching others wreak havoc on this tight lipped world by invoking and bringing out people's latent and inner thoughts out

Hmmmm what’s her motive tho

Anyway so it has been proven that Kougami is just one huge phat thirst trap. Can’t blame Akane for staring ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

She's just a highschooler but she's a lost-cause amongst lost-causes, a literal sickening, heinous, and disgusting psychopath (even my vocabulary died because of her). Little shits like that get caught quickly though, and she's no exception - she does nothing to cover her tracks, a clear complacent moronic teenager.

Loving this show so far, very entertaining.

So the white-hair dude gives other people the tools to commit crimes, so it's harder to track him down. Wonder why he does that though, is he just an asshole or is there a deeper motive?

The school is awfully blase about so many of its students "going missing". Half the students must be dead by now, with how many this bitch has killed. Some of the girls there have to be picking up that all these disappearances happen after they make contact with Rikako.

Right? No one reporting any suspicions to anyone? Especially girls that age who gossip. I can't imagine.

Well, that was a super unsettling episode. I can't tell if that was necrophilia or a sexual encounter that ended in murder. More and more, this series keeps reminding me of The Cell with Jennifer Lopez. That movie left me super unsettled, and this kinda sorta reminds me of it. 😬

The perpetrators in this anime have it way too easy, how do they keep getting away with offing people without anybody noticing? Are the authorities that incompetent, and bystanders that oblivious? Like those internet influencers didn't have friends or family nor even appointments or schedules to keep that would eventually arose suspicion they're missing? In the current case of the girls school, why aren't the parents of the victims kicking up a massive fuss with the school? I get it's a boarding school for the wealthy so they're separated from the parents, but do the parents not get informed when their daughters are murdered? And since the parents are wealthy, wouldn't they cause even more of a huge fuss? And the latest kidnapped girl who went to talk to the girl murderer, isn't it incredibly stupid to just abduct her without knowing who else knows she went to see the girl murderer? Apparently not since all the authorities are too stupid to even ask around who the last person the victim was known to be with. They keep talking about public scanners that scan everybody, I get they're not cameras, but that should still be good enough to trace where the victim was last, and those in the area to narrow down who the perpetrator was. It's like they're not even trying until it's time to move the plot along.

I mean I want to like this series, it has a Ghost in the Shell feeling but more like Minority Report with the Pyscho-Pass evaluations which are like pre-crime, but the cases and especially the investigations have been unrealistically bad. It's like that building they had staked out for the perp to show up to the meetup, they had the exits covered but didn't stop everybody from exiting, instead chasing everybody around inside and just watching them all exit and run away. They didn't even interview the staff nor organizers afterwards to see what happened or look for leads, if they did they would have had to interview Spooky who organized the event, and would have immediately found out what happened to her.

It's just so dumb when you stop to think about it, what are they even doing. They make it even worse by stressing the MC is supposedly super smart, top honors of her class. Okay, maybe schools marks in this universe is meaningless and it's more about ideological indoctrination than education, but then they also stress the enforcers are super experienced and think like the perpetrators which goes against the ideological conditioning, yet they can't do basic detective work either. At this point I wouldn't even call it "detective work", more like common sense to ask around who the victim was with last, or what happened.

She really is deranged. She kills then rapes then dismembers and then turns them into art work😅😅😅😅. She's mentally unstable. The first girl was right to be suspicious of her. Woman's intuition.

Shinya Kogami really is an incredible character. I love the fact that he trains despite not needing to, and having that always progress, and "I first of all must be strong by myself" mentality. He's insane detective abilities also shone through in this episode, I'd say even he's ability to always stay calm and in control of the situation, as he never made rash decisions or acts and didn't show any faulty emotions throughout the whole investigation.

I find the idea with the eustress deficiency very very interesting. One could say it's a showcase of what this perfect balanced society leads to. There always must be a cause breaking the balance in everything, as we see here the trial to make a perfectly balanced society turned into people losing their will of life as everything is predetermined for them all the time and everywhere, a very sad way to live. That's why maybe the serenity sickness really is the best way out of that world.

Even though people typically despise stress and see it as something that should not exist, I also think it really is needed. Stress always keeps one on their toes, when one is stressed the assumption that something is wrong arises, as such the impulse to act is created. With constant stress, the pressure actually helps push oneself past regular boundaries. It's just that we must learn to take it as something natural and if one thinks of it as something normal and learns how to deal with it on a mental level, there's no reason to banish it completely like it happened in this distopic world.

The idea of the painter was also very interesting. It's quite a cool thought the fact that we must see our dark depths of the soul to have ultimate peace of mind. Ultimately I think it's rather true, one can achieve balance only by balancing the good part of the person, "the perfect societal persona" if you will, with the normal human intrusive thoughts. We are different compared to animals because we can think, that implies all kind of thoughts. A perfect person with only good type of thoughts is hard to maintain because of the pressure it creates and the fact that the world sometimes is not always good with us. That's where the dark side, let's say, comes in, and ones we understand it and why it is there and how it manifests in us, it's easier and possible to control. That said, it's also about knowing oneself, to completely discover our character and personality, we must explore everything that comprises it, even the dark depths that are sometimes scary to touch, but only with such analysis it's possible to fully understand ourselves.
