| If the special moves weren't hugely exaggerated, who'd watch the series? I like to think of them sort of metaphorically - as in, the lightnings and fires don't actually exist, except to the players who feel the excitement and so on.. Still, a serious PoT would be a boring PoT. |

| Boo, they left out some parts of the manga in this episode. But I'm sooooooooo excited to see Prince of Tennis animated again. The effects kind of overshadowed actual tennis being played, but what I loved about this episode was that it brought out more emotion in me than the manga counterpart. I was starting to tear up in the end when I knew of Tezuka's defeat and him sacrificing his arm. Good stuff. Absolutely LOVED the Opening song. Must find it somewhere. |
| Blah. I love the manga but to watch the anime you gotta just enjoy the comendy and their "power-ups". Although these ovs's have sucked big time I must say. They cut out so much and misplay the way it should be. |

| God I thought I would totally diss this anime. What's with the over exaggerated power-ups?!?! It was alright in the previous arcs but this is way too overdone, I can't bring myself to feel in this ep with the godly plays like lightnings or phantoms, and does anyone else find the pace ridiculously fast? Like they can't wait to get the finals over, compared to the past arcs where a single game can carry on to 3 episodes... |

| oh my god That was so GOOD. I thought I'd find this match boring because the semifinals sucked but oh my god this match THIS MATCH. Yeah, the moves were ridiculous but in a mere 20 minutes I thought that this was the one time I could actually understand Tezuka's character. I've never been a massive fan of him, but I think that this ep really brought out his 'strong' character. We're always being told about how he's a tennis god, but that fact that he finally lost a match is what doesn't make him that 'god'. (Ryoma on the other hand is an exception, because well, he's the MC. And I like him.) I went into this thinking that it should've been Hyotei and Seigaku at the finals, but this ep is making me change my mind. |

| Quite surprised that there's no discussion for episode 0 ._. Anyway, I don't know how to feel about Tezuka VS Sanada. Probably, I'm a bit frustrated that Tezuka lost. |

| Episode 0 is basically episode 1 since there's 7 episode discussions and 7 total episodes. Anyway, I really loved this episode, hilarious scenes! |
