damn this show loves heartbreak romances, does it very well as well lmao.

takumi is reckless as ever, with the W against the other 86.

music was still fire and cgi improved, the drama was well done. my only problem with this season is, i wasn't a huge fan of the new art style. just looked kinda weird to me, first stage looked much better.
still a solid season tho, 9/10.

oh man, i love this show

only small nitpick about this episode is the move shouldve taken more runtime imo

but everything else was great

why does this show have some of the best relationships frfr

and they all end in sadness...

The end of Initial D season two. This was a wonderful finale to a wonderful season.

This last episode was nice and the race between Takumi Fujiwara and Wataru Akiyama was very intense and very entertaining, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I didnt know how Takumi was gonna manage to win this one but he managed and that makes me happy.

The music throughout the last two seasons have been amazing and is one of the highlights of this show.

The animation and CGI are also pretty amazing.

Overall this was an amazing season and I can't wait to watch the next. :)

Takumi won! Not surprised there.


I feel terrible for Itsuki. I hope that in the upcoming seasons he has an opportunity to have a proper relationship.

First off, as a Japanese man I have to say Itsuki is a pussy. This is why:

1) Itsuki says “if she goes back to Saitama he will never see her”, but in reality Gunma and Saitama is only a 1 hr 20 min drive. Wataru drives back and forth all the time. Even though earlier Itsuki bragged about how “Cars are amazing; you have the freedom to go anywhere”, he can’t even take a short drive to see the girl he loves...?

2) Japanese girls are never as straight-forward as Kazumi. In Japan it is more common for people to date after being friends, and for her to say “she will never forget the Gunma autumn, and a special boy who is the nicest person she has ever met”, this is what we call a “告白”, or declaration of love. She came back to Gunma “to get her luggage”, but yet went to the station empty-handed...she came back FOR him! He had TWO chances yet couldn’t say anything🤦🏻‍♂️

....Itsuki is an idiot and will be a “lonely driver” for life....

I really liked the ending. Takumi won and managed to last this long. I also thought that Itsuki wouldn't get to say goodbye to his girlfriend. Atleast he did get to say it and take her for the last drive in his 85, It was hearbreaking to see Itsuki cry because losing someone when you just met someone you started to love is so sad.

I liked the part where Takumi and Itsuki were in the Trueno and talking about losing a loved one. I'd like to experience this with my best friend too while driving or something.

It's good for Mogi to get a job, maybe Takumi will forgive her or something after they meet each other again?

It was nice to see Itsuki improve his racing skills and get over the saddness.

She came back to his work just to rub salt in the wound and tell him he's the little brother she never had. Stone cold heartless. Being Itsuki is pure suffering.

And so what if Mogi got a part-time job at a fast food place? How does that solve any of her problems with Takumi? She still lied and deceived him. I'm not one of those people who believe in "lying by omission" but if you're in a sexual relationship with a man over twice your age that's something you NEED to declare before you start hooking up with and making out with your friend/classmate. At least she realizes she screwed up, but I don't see how getting a job is any type of character development for her. She needs to talk with Takumi; this just looks like she's running away from the problem and keeping busy with work to take her mind off it. Can't believe innocent season 1 Mogi turned out like this. It was the biggest shock of the season.

This episode was like watching a movie itself so amazing. But I swear no one is winning in this anime😭. I hope Itsuki and the girl could at least meet in the future. I loved the upgrade to his car and how it impacted him as well and learning how to drive with the new engine. I want to find out who had informed Takumi about Mogi and how they had found out as well.
