Kyle is a guy with pride. He wants to settle this episode in a duel but I'm not surprised. He just seems like the type of guy who wants to prove himself.

Only two more episodes left so I am definitely curious about the endgame of this show...I guess they'er just trying to build Kyle as a leader and protagonist of his group.

@Stark700 I too am curious where they'll wrap the season. The show's not bad--I'd watch another season.

Ok look.... if you know how duels are supposed to work, there is supposed to be a neutral 3rd party observer. Those demons literally agreed to duel in the place of Kyle' choosing without any questions, to an underground cave with multiple entry points.
The two of them would never willingly agree to duel with FIVE people opposing them, and no observer. That demon guy then just agrees to move to another location without any question, and is walking BEHIND Kyle here, and doesn't try to attack him? Is he stupid?
The demon chick is then in this cave room with four other people alone. She knows she's not powerful enough to take on two, but does anyway?????????? With NO BACKUP. She's okay with them having backup- and still agrees to fight.

This is so fucking stupid, who wrote this a five year old?

It was already bad enough in the last episode these kids waltzed around in that cave with a MOUNTAIN OF CORPSES in there and didn't even react.
And they basically forgave mayor guy and were like "Ah well he really loves Karan so it makes sense he'd commit genocide."
But now you have these demons who they claim are dishonorable, being more honorable than the protagonists for literally zero gain, and to their own disadvantage. This plot is not even comprehensible, it's such a hack job! 2/5

I'm surprised that Liese and Urza were able to take on and beat the female demon without Theron's involvement as she initially appeared to be much stronger than them. Also, I'm curious to see what Kyle had the blacksmith make as he appears confident that he'll beat his demon opponent.

They're demons, so... I'm not expecting the guys to be playing it, let's say, "fair" to say the least. Even Miranda was like, "You got my approval," with a smile

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

@SuperAdventure The protagonist lost his honor after the first timeline and still relies on the knowledge from it, and as for the demons, the first one is arrogant, the second one is too kind and a pacifist, so she

if you think about it from a naturalistic sense of evolution/ecology/competition between the 'humanoid' species like elves, dwarves, humans etc. and demon... races? clans? or whatever their societies/biologies are like... why haven't the demons overrun the entire planet? perhaps demons don't breed fast enough? or they require far vaster resources to fuel their superior bodies than the humanoids do? or the demons' natural habitats where they 'started off at' are so harsh that their population is always NATURALLY controlled by whatever conditions exist(ed) there? therefore, expanding FROM those harsh locations was inevitable for the demons? maybe the demons are highly competitive for those natural resources in their 'home habitat' instead of highly cooperative and communal like the humanoid races are? maybe that is why demons need a VASTLY superior leader, a benevolent despot willing to smash any opponents into bloody mush. but still open enough to use simple coercion and intimidation to get the demons united and pointed in one direction?

I thought it was odd that the demon didn't kill Kyle when they were walking alone in that tunnel en route to the fight place, like he could have snuck on him and ripped his head off or something and the others wouldn't be the wiser, he could have said he killed him in a fair fight. I know Theron would have killed him anyway if he killed Kyle but he doesn't know that.

I also thought Kyle made a mistake in making the duel 3 days in the future. Why not 5-7 to give Gazus more time to forge the sword? For all he knows, Gazus could have taken shortcuts to get the sword done by the 2 day deadline and he genuinely might become exhausted working 2 days straight and make mistakes from sleeplessness. I did think it was funny though how Gazus seemed really opposed to letting Theron keep the sword but Miranda said it wasn't found there and Gazus instantly agreed. It sounds like Gazus might be ruled by his "flesh sword" :D
Authentic.

@ShiroAlex I mean I actually like her as a character even though she's basically defined only by that trait, but still,
I like sympathetic demons they are rare in anime so I hope she doesn't just get slashed to ribbons
but the morals of this anime wouldn't surprise me. After what Theron pulled with those soldiers (and the frozen horses) he's basically worse than either of those demons. Which makes me equally surprised he hasn't just tried to take out Kyle because he now has the most powerful sword and no reason to follow him...

@SuperAdventure Well, Kyle is still a friend to him, unlike the soldiers who were ready to kill him and yes, in this episode it was Kyle's idea, not Theron's, to attack Yuriga from behind after the battle, he remembers that timeline, but essentially only superficial things, what actually happened is shown by this timeline, from the category of the fallen kingdom then because of the actions of the one he considered his mentor.

To leave the room at the start the demon blasted a wall and then we see a staircase. . . Did his blast also create a staircase or was there already a staircase leading to a wall until he blasted the wall away?

Gotta feeling that this season's gonna wrap up faster than we would like :{ with only 2 weeks left, so I hope there is another season to be announced...but I won't get my hopes too high up.

I did find the tea before the fight a bit comedic :}

Theron's got the Holy Sword Rand, and Kyle proposing a truce for a duel with the head demon losing half of his horns, it's a temporary truce for now to bring both Gazus and Governor Bax back to the surface, get treatment, and explain what had happened thus far. As for the Holy Sword Rand, Kyle and his party has full reign on it, and even bestowing Gazus with as much mithril from the Xarles ruins as possible, to prep for the rematch duel in 3 days.

The prep to prevent the Great Invasion, this is certainly one step forward as Kyle and his party have supplementary teatime before the demons show up, and they sure like to take their time. No matter what tricks they have, the male demon deals with Kyle while the female goes against both Liese and Urza, but at full strength (that even comes with the warning).

Looks like this rematch duel will be quite the drag...
