If you mean being outdoors then yes I go outside quite a bit. I live in the country so I often have yardwork to do and I just now finished a target shooting session about half an hour ago.
If you mean going out in public then not really. I admit I'm a bit of a shutin.

Uh, of course? We're truly getting some strange questions here.

As for frequency, I'd think most days.

Yes, you need a change of scenery once in a while otherwise your life would become dull & monotonous. You can do lots of things on your own, that's how you could escape your neet life.

On average, I go out around 27 days or so each month, so pretty much almost every day. I usually just go to different kinds of study cafes and coffee shops in my city.

If going to the shop counts then often, I commute to work 2 days per week to office and eat my lunch in a cafe.
That's about as much as I go outside.

Outside social obligations (including family/relative visits and when I have to be physical present at my workplace), I only go outside the premises for the following:

- grocery shopping at least every second week
- when my car needs maintenance/routine checkups
- about 2-3 times a year in the inner city to check for clothes, to get specific tea blends and/or infusion, to buy some mag about Japanese pop culture, to look at Manga/books and sometimes also to buy some presents
- to the public pool in summer to have some change of enviroment, but you can count the amount of times I've went this year on one hand, since the weather has been mostly too cold whenever I have had more free-time while it was hot when I was busy or bound to stay at home due to work

If we count the premises as well, then almost daily if there is sun + warm and/or if there is something to do in or get from the garden and/or yard. The grapes are especially delicious this year and I have a full freezer full of frozen plums now, lol
In comparison, the cherries were a bit less sweet, the strawberries just like every year and unfortunately, there were no raspberries anymore, only a few redcurrants instead. The tomatoes also have seen better years, but they were still better than last year at the very least

How could you not go outside? I'd go insane if I had to stay indoors constantly, social obligations don't even play a factor in it for me. Also I guess I'm just not so worried about what a passerby will think of me when I go on a walk.

Random people don't know you are a school drop out lol. Secondly that no friends is normal now. If someone does, it's usually no more than two people.

@WaffleMaster89 There's not much and no one that brings me to go outside the premises if I don't really have to. I'm not worried at all what some random passerbys will think of me, because I can blend them out, since I usually focus on getting from A to B, do the things fast and then get back home for the most part. Though even in the rare cases I go outside the premises for leisure like going to the pool, I can be overly fixated on getting food and eating in peace and am in general just by myself

The reason I don't manage to go on trips by myself even though I have the vacation time, the financial means, the curiosity, the health/physical condition, the mobility and the longing for it is because I would become overly aware of being alone, of being disconnected from others, so I'd rather just stay at home and have my mind distracted with the wonders the Internet has to offer and become mostly phlegmatic as a result

If you are willing, you may consider booking stays in mini-apartment style hotels with kitchenette. Like Citadines I have stayed in those- it enables you to cook meals (simple ones like pasta+sauce) so you never need to go to restaurants alone (which is truly AWFUL)
You can also book day tours where you get access to parts of the country, with other people... not that you'll make the best friends but at least it's not as awkward as having to navigate small towns alone. I have traveled solo this way and it is not perfect but at least I get to see some places.
And as a last resort I have done at least one international trip with family.

lol I know it's some form of meme/joke, but seeing the sun is good for the health

@SuperAdventure: Thank you for your suggestions. I'd prefer if the food would be included in a hotel lobby rather than me having to cook or order food for myself or having to look for some restaurant. To be fair, if it's with complete randoms, I'd rather prefer being on my own since I find the other way more akward and it would remind me of my disconnection even stronger. Great to hear you could experience different places. As for going with family, that might be one option though I feel at times disconnected even with them, but far from my preferred one

Usually everyday once or twice to take a stroll. The only days I avoid going outside is when I am sick or when I am at worst hungover and getting out of the bed to bathroom is already an olympic challenge.

From monday it will be more often due to my new job, excluding some irregular breaks, it will be 4-6 times a day to be outside of a building cause a social obligations will be couple hours of monday-friday, I wonder if my throat and vocal chords will survive the obligation to speak clear and loudly for those hours every working day.

I think i go quite quite frequentl: from shopping, errands, receive stuff, etc.

I remember I once spent like 2 weeks without going outside when I was a kid, it was winter vacations and Im sure I never leaved the house. Good times.

Ok, that sounds like a lame excuse to stay indoors. There are lots of people who feel ashamed for something. You have no friends because you don't go outside. As a matter of fact, you are ashamed for the wrong reasons. Last but not least, life is fleeting and you waste it indulging in self pity.

Just a piece of advice; take a stroll to a cafe nearby, go inside and order something, like coffee, then look around you. As you can see, everybody is minding their own business and don't care whether you are a drop out or have a masters degree. If you still want to live a life build on self pity then fine but you will be far more ashamed once you look back 10 years from now.

Most days really. To get shopping or eating out somewhere, or store browsing. Weekends I usually do hobby stuff, so I need to travel on the train or bus for those.
Also just to hang out washing, as I don't have a drier or to do garden maintenance.
But yeah sometimes I feel awkward about encountering people out, but for that I just put earphones in and listen to music on my phone (or pretend to).

I always try to go out for a 1 hour walk every single day. On days I have off, I ensure that I do and I will make the walk longer. During the cold winter months, due to the cold and ice (really more the issue) not as much however, I do try to at least go outside for a bit.

Also go outside dude, most people do not give a shit. You need fresh air psychologically.

For me it's just the feeling of being in the same environment 24/7 that would drive me crazy. That isn't to say I can't stay in one place for the rest of my life but I do need some variety which I achieve in small ways. Like going to some new local event or changing up my routes for jogs.

I would recommend trying to go outside your comfort zone and see how it feels. Especially if the curiosity is there, you might as well try. If you don't like it you can always go back to what you were doing before.

I don't mind staying in the same environment as much as the lack of meaningful connections. Sure doing those things you're doing sounds quite healthy, but I can't bring myself, since for me it's much easier to numb my own feelings by staying in my own bubble and avoiding thinking too much about others and about my own situation

Easier said than done, because otherwise, I would have long gone to at least see more of my own country. I currently still feel like the potential disappointment and/or mental shock from becoming too aware of how alone and unwanted I am exceeds the potential benefits a single trip with no potential lasting benefits could give me. Like at best, I will have a great time temporarily and then get back to an anti-climactic, plain and uneventful daily life. This is why I would need a strong extrinsic motivational factor to even start considering something like that seriously and no, a person I feel nothing for suggesting a meetup is not enough, not even when they live in the same city or are from a nearby settlement to me

Not enough to be honest with you or not as much as I would like. Apart from shopping, work or socializing I don't really walk around nature etc. I would like to take up running as a hobby but I feel like I wouid feel let down if I didn't commit to it.

I go out for walks/runs daily and see friends a few times a week
