| Kind of an underwhelming finale, fight in the base reused a lot of scenes and the showdown was also not very exciting. I don't remember Mahouka being that boring, I thought the first two seasons were actually enjoyable. But this was just a snorefest. 4/10 |
| I feel like missing something. how is that Zhou Gongjin know Tatsuya? If I remember correctly, they never met and Tatsuya didn't tell anyone expect the high school friends about who he really is. and I kinda dissapointed that Zhou Gongjin killed himself, I feel like it's anti climax. |
| Despite cramming three different arcs within a one-cour season, this was still a cohesive watch. The use of CGI could've been more jarring, but it was rarely noticeable outside of a few panning background scenes. |

| I'm really impressed they managed to clear out all of the cliffhangers in the last episode. The teamwork was very cool, and the Ichijo clan hydrogen manipulation is a very interesting concept. As a whole I think it was an amazing season. I've seen a lot of people complain about the ending and the pacing, to me honestly none seem to be a problem. They managed to close all of the storylines opened and made a clear overview of what will come next in the next arc. The pacing is adequate to a full-fledged long running anime. There's constant action, the plot evolves and the characters are shown clear signs of development and the relationships between them too. Keep in mind that they are already going into their third year so the slowness of it can't be a problem 100%. Neither do I think they are going too fast, as there are a lot of plot lines ready to be looked into, a lot of internal fights and on the external front we haven't seen anything apart from East Asia and USNA, so there's a lot more out there too. As such I'm very hyped for it's potential and I think it could become, even though not as popular right now, one of the new big animes, hard hitters, as Black Clover or Boku no Hero Academia. The only thing that is on my mind from a detrimental point of view is the overpowering of Japan. Although that can be easily remediated through the presentation of other Strategic class magicians from other countries who would hold powers close to those of the main characters, and I'm quite positive it will happen. Honestly I really want it to be a masterpiece for me, but I feel like something is still missing from it. I'll give it more thought, but for now it definitely remains a 9 in my books. |

| huh, this season was really a bunch of character introduction. I enjoyed the plot progression, but I felt Takuma and Kasumi was really unnecessary teen angst that felt pretty unwarranted. Maybe they're setting up for something, but if not, it's easily one of the worst parts of the series so far for no real reason. Hattori really took an L with his art too, idk if his artist got changed or something. They also never explained why Morisaki is suddenly ok with Tatsuya but he was just there chilling in the student council room with Tatsuya like no problems. Finally glad to see all the wheels rolling with the ten master clan though Ichijou becoming one of the crew was really unexpected development. |

| The 3rd season of mahouka was good, not worse nor really that great. Tho I miss the first season soundtrack:( . Quite hype for the yotsuba succession arc which is going to Be adapt into a movie since many fans in the community praise it as the best arc of this series. 7/10 |
| Better than the 2nd season purely because I couldn't really keep up with it but I feel like it thankfully got dumbed down a little and the main plot linear enough to follow even though some details were hard to fully pick up on. Zhou Gongjin served as a somewhat interesting antagonist in the final half of the season and it's nice that they brought up some stuff from S2 as well. I wonder how he knew about Tatsuya though. I can't help but feel that the competition arc was a little rushed, especially given the buildup that it had. Don't get me wrong, it did live up to the expectations seeing how Tatsuya one-manned the entire squad to bring back horrors and memories of Mahesvara but I wanted to see some more of the other characters moments of shine too. Season 1's version, for some reason, I was hoping to see something like that. Hell about to break loose next with Yotsuba succession? THat should be fun! |

| What happened? Did they lose two thirds of the budget or something? Replacing Madhouse isn't easy, sure, but the second season was 8bit too and still had some good fight scene choreography and way better pacing, now we get a third season where fight scenes cut away to fighting sounds instead of showing the action, and a climax that is 5 seconds long and ends with the antagonist just blowing themselves up unceremoniously. This ain't it. |
