| Last episode felt more like the finale. This ep just sorta ended. Learned some ogata usami stuff along with some more sugimoto backstory. But besides that it was very unengaging? Looking forward to more. |

| It was a good season but not GREAT like last time. This one lacked action and was mostly backstories of side characters. Newbie gives me the creeps. It was tough with that delay, I'd really like to sit down and rewatch this whole thing at some point, it's such an incredible show. It's tough to remember the first half of this season now. I guess this was the season that got all the hard work done, hopefully next season we can take the pants off and fly free. |
| Bit of a lowkey stopping point for Season 4, ngl, but it made sense. More Ogata backstory and Asirpa finding renewed purpose and resolve. As a manga reader I think the material covered in Season 4 is definitely not Golden Kamuy's strongest. But it was told well enough, cheap animation and character model budget aside, an issue which has sadly been around since the beginning(CGI bear in season 1 anyone?) and was never deserved. Plus, it had its moments. Tanigaki and Inkarmat's episode being the clear highlight for me, narratively speaking. I think when rewatched as a part of a larger whole after the entire adaptation is done it'll play better. And speaking of that conclusion we got the announcement of the final season. I can't help but wonder how many episodes it'll get. Knowing what remains to be covered I'd like to say more than 12, but who knows? I'll certainly check it out if I'm alive and able lol. As far as a score for season 4 goes I'll still keep the 8/10 I've been giving the entire series. Oh, and I really like the op/ed for this season. |
| This season was less intense than previous ones, but I still liked it a lot! Im sad that there was no Kiro either in the opening or ending, + the fact that we didn't learn more about his true identity and backstory :'( But since it ended the way it did, 5th Season is on its way for sure! and I am SO looking forward to it!! And hoping for more Kiro xD |
| Great and almost masterpiece ish season. Golden Kamuy is seriously one of the best things to happen in the recent years. Now we wait for the final season |
| And this is the end? I didn't feel that it was the final episode but well... the whole season keeps up with the rest (well, maybe not counting the animation) and for me it's 10/10, I'm sorry but the atmosphere, humor and characters are something wonderful👌 |
| The fourth season feels weaker than the previous one, as I believe the series reached its peak in the third season with Tsurumi's backstory before the war. On the comedy side, though, there’s nothing to complain about. Some scenes were so over the top that I couldn't stop laughing. Overall it was good. |

| Ogata barely said any words while Usami was trash talking him the whole time and he even pulled his knife 💀 . I think out of the 7th division Usami is the craziest guy and that says a lot :P. Yet another season ends but man this was fun. Season 5 will be the final season, shit's about to get serious! |

This final episode didn’t end in Sapporo like I thought it would but it was still a very good finale, there were a lot of story revelations here like the stuff with Ogata and Usami, as well as more regarding why Sugimoto is trying to find the gold and it’s a cause fitting for him like Asirpa had hoped, and I’m also happy to see they finally decided to trust Shiraishi and let him know Asirpa remembered how to solve the code, Shiraishi is such a lad after all lol.
And we had one last bad situation where Sugimoto and Asirpa got caught in a massive tree cutting, they thankfully survived but man that could have been bad, but I also really loved learning about how they cut trees like that, very cool stuff. And that final bit where Asirpa reflected on her dad was a good place to end on, the scenery of all those trees cut down was really nice looking too, it really feels like we’re nearing the end now and it’s a happy and sad feeling knowing there isn’t much left.
From Fall 22 to Spring 23 we finally made it, the 4th Season of Golden Kamuy has ended, and despite the delay and change in studio I thought this was another fantastic season. There were so many great moments in this season like in other seasons, met lots of new and interesting characters and had some great developments for old ones, and with this season’s ending things are starting to come to a final stretch and that makes me feel bittersweet. I’m really happy to see one of my favorite anime getting a complete adaptation, but I also don’t want to see it end as it’s been a part of my life since the first season aired back in Spring 2018, the anime season I first started watching seasonal anime weekly, but all things must come to an end I suppose. And I gotta point out how amazing the OP and ED were this season, I prefer previous OPs but this one absolutely slaps and was fitting for the point in the story we are now, and the ED was right in line with the others in being a great jam to unwind to after such good episodes. I really look forward to the final season, whenever that comes!

| @TheColonel76 A little fun fact, I was actually on the beach in South Carolina when I first watched this finale (well, in the hotel room, but it was a beachfront hotel lol), interesting time that was. But yeah man this is it for my Golden Kamuy rewatch before Season 5 airs, it was such a good time rewatching all of these seasons back to back since before now I had only ever seen them weeks, months and years apart, I guess that comes with following a series weekly since the beginning lol. It seems like the general consensus is that this was a weaker season, and to that I say I agree, but only because Seasons 2 & 3 were 10/10s, this is still a 9/10 season just like Season 1 for me, it has tons of Golden Kamuy goodness in it like always, even some of the best content in the series. Yeah maybe the story progression was stunted a bit because of the flashbacks and lack of focus on the main trio (Sugimoto, Asirpa and Shiraishi) but it’s all such good content, I don’t mind the spotlight being shifted off the main gang at all because of that. I’d go on more, but me from June 2023 said it all pretty much already, so with that, Season 5 awaits, and it’s tomorrow! I didn’t mean for the rewatch to take till now but maybe it’s a good thing for that timing lol. And lastly, I may have wished the OP was a rock song like the previous ones, but man it is so fitting for this series getting near the end so I can’t help but love it like the rest of the OPs, it’s just a really cool song too, same with the ED which is up there with the previous ones as well. |

| I know this is considered the worst of the seasons so far and I kind of get it considering how fast some of the mid episodes in particular felt, but it'd everything that makes Golden Kamuy great still and a banger Op too. I'll have to sit down and make my top Op rankings for the series, because this is making a run for the money for sure. Anyways, the whackiness with the sperm detective stuff was possibly one of the most absurd scenes I've seen and that's saying something considering how much of it in absolutely gold fashion we get from this series. In terms of the drama aspect, it does feel like the big Sapporo event has been set aside for the final season but the ones prior and the character delving moments like Tsurumi-taichou and Ogata are very interesting to know in advance. I'm sure both have a big role to come... Asirpa's goal for the Ainu people, I wonder what that is. |

| This didn't quite reach the same heights as S2 and S3 with it feeling more like build-up, but still an enjoyable 8/10 season overall. At least I'm finally caught up now. |
