How many episodes of Odd Taxi should someone have to watch before their score counts towards MAL's average score?

You might have noticed that I asked the same question with One Piece, but I was curious would people say about a much shorter anime.
MAL does have the one-fifth rule, which states that a user must watch at least 1/5 of an anime for their score to count towards the average. For Odd Taxi, I imagine this means you have to watch at least 3 episodes since you can't watch 2.6 episodes. So, is this too high or too low or just right?

imo the fourth episode is one of the best episodes of all time and if someone doesn't like it they should rate it there

for a show like this some should watch all of it to actually review it but mal should allow it to count at the 3 episode rule

All of them. It all comes together at the end. I don't see how it would make sense to rate it before the last episode.

I say it every time: “WE DON’T RATE TIL THAT LAST EPISODE OVER” You have no idea how many times an anime has been like a percentage of a point away from a rating, and the ending solidified that point or totally threw it away. This anime is a prime example of a HUGE event going on at the end that totally changes how a person might rate it. I firmly believe you cannot rate an anime without finishing. If you drop it, then it’s just a 0/10 because you found it so abhorrent you didn’t finish. If you put it on hold, then you clearly intend to go back and can rate afterward. There is no situation I personally recognize where you can rate an anime on the 1-10 scale before finishing. You might hold firm your rating can’t go above or below a threshold, but that’s my rant

answer goes either way. watch it all before rating high. or drop it early and rate it low. score is useless anyways. watch what you enjoy and drop what you dont. if you let the score of an anime determine if you watch it or not youll end up missing out on anime you love or end up watching an anime you ended up not liking because you trusted the score too much.

May you find anime you love and enjoy

It's only 12 episodes, and the plot slowly comes together with everyone, this is definitely a series you have to watch the whole thing for.

In support of above arguments

You should always rate something after finishing that particular season/ series as it makes even more sense once you get past through all the actual content of a series to rate it according to your judgement

Bro you can just put as many episodes as you want of rating counting is important to you because MAl is not a real person who is monitoring your anime watching

Well then it wouldn't count the people who dropped the show so there would be less bad reviews which kinda makes the average rating unreliable. Also it means shows like One Piece won't have a rating at all.

I never drop an Anime, I always give everyone a chance so that I can give extremely low scores upon completion

Odd Taxi was not anything special for me it was like your average garbage non-japanese cartoons

Not sure how much I can trust your statement or list.. 880 anime days(not sure if MAL is counting "dropped" into that) would imply 880 full 24h days of complete anime. If we assume you actually sleep, eat, work or attend school I could say you watch 8 hours of anime per day. Not even including manga. That would mean that it would have taken you over 7 years of consecutively watching anime for the high estimate of 8 hours a day to come to that time.

Either the list is somewhat bogus and includes a lot of episode skipping or random 10-minute skips per episode or idk! Of course then to factor in manga reading time and the like.

most people who already eager to write reviews before finishing series usually are rage reviewers. and people who are enjoying the series or want to judge it objectively would write the reviews after finishing the series.

To be honest, it's been 12 Years of regularly watching Anime
I used to spend minimum of 4 hours watching Anime or reading Manga and maximum 14 Hours

I usually do not rate a show until I am done it one piece I only felt confident rating it as o have seen it 7 times in the past 5 years. Other cases would be where I start a show I really don't like and give it a low score because then all the show can do is either go up from there usually.

The idea that MAL ratings are some objective measure of quality is laughable, and mandating that someone watch the entire series just inflates all scores, as people who hate a show would just drop it. Poll needs a "0" option
