So the two cats are just bound as keystones for eternity?? They seemed to have benevolent motivations that were never really explored or fully explained? The meeting with her younger self at the end was also seemingly very random and didn't actually resolve anything...?? Not sure what I'm missing, here.

Just finished Suzume No Tojimari!

10/10, a masterpiece, IMO Shinkai's best work.
The characters and how they are displayed is very creative, all of them being very interesting and having their own story.

An extraordinary movie, one that has truly earned a place in my heart, the art, the characters, all of it.
I cannot explain with words how great this movie was, not to add the amount of times I cried from it.
Thank you, Shinkai, for creating this masterpiece.

I finally decided to watch this movie in 2026 after putting it on hold for years. I was always reluctant to watch it and put it on hold so when I actually watched it I was blown away.

This movie was spectacular, both in terms of story and visuals.

Kept me thoroughly entertained and I really liked the ending and how it wrapped up all the stuff. It even made me cry and if a movie makes me cry then that's an automatic 9-10 in my book hahaha.

I'll catch Makoto Shinkai's next movie as soon as possible, Won't repeat my mistake lol.

I saw this without all the media bias and hype factor and I think this movie satisfied me all the way through.
