That's likely bc of the added colour, in the manga it's mainly monotone so you focus more on the pattern -how pronounced the pattern of her eyes is varies depending on shading. I don't really have an issue with how it's done in the anime. |

| I mean some things can't translate as well into the anime. It is definitely way more easier to see the circles in her eyes when the only colors are black and white. Maybe they probably wanted to have a slightly different style or wanted to keep Makima's final role in the story a little more subtle as I think only hybirds/devils have different eyes in the series. |
