it's KYUN, can you change it in the title?

FAIL is your grammar (<=a reason for talking like Yoda). Just for you, I put 'Moe, Moe, Kyuu~ (yes, KYUU in my world; live with it)'
why? 'cause 'kyuu' is onomatopoeia for hug!
Prob will change it later though.

and now Moe... according to this article i was reading, there are different 'moe' types among males and females. What do you think?

- Define Moe in your own words. (In complete-sentence form please)

It's quite hard to describe it with words (for me at least). By my definition, it's a feeling, which makes me 'melting' from the overloading cuteness I'm seeing on the screen. Characters who can trigger this phenomenon in me are youthful girls, usually being in some innocent situation. For example a dead serious fighting scene wouldn't make me feel moe even if it's Akiyama Mio fighting, who I consider the most moe character in the entire anime world.
Note that although I think about it as a feeling in the person watching the anime, I still like to give it as a trait to some girls who tend to act 'moe' in most of their screentime. Sort of contradiction, but let it slide.

- Can you identify the first anime you've seen? When did you started diving into watching anime more on a daily basis?

As most of the Hungarians, I started with Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon about... like 10 years ago? But back then I didn't know these series are even Japanese. The first thing I conciously watched as an anime was Love Hina, followed by Elfen Lied, NGE and Bleach but my real addiction started by the 2009 Fall season with discovering the "online libraries" such as goodanime.net. Since then I'm following at least 5-6 series every season and I'm catching up on 1-2 older animes at a time by marathoning them whenever I can.

-Yes, going by wikipedia, it claims that there are moe character types such as the glasses, the clumsy, the tsundere, etc. Do you think there are more than that? Can you name a few? Do you have a preference?

I don't think you can make categories like that. For me, moe charaters have one particular "trait" (see above) which does not depend on what that character is wearing or what kind of personality she has. Sure, you can force some of them under the same category since they happened to share similar traits (like tsundere personality) besides being moe, but it doesn't make them a subtype of the phenomenon. Despite that, there are some characteristics (like pink hair) which can help triggering the feeling since these are considered cute in general.

Additional: Do you think Ayanami Rei (Evangelion series) and Hotaru Tomoe (Sailormoon series) are considered moe? Personally, I think so, though from other people otherwise.

I think Rei is considered moe in general, although I don't think of her as one. While watching NGE I've never had the moe-feeling.
Hotaru Tomoe... I can't answer this one because I can't remember her at all.

Noone is forcing you to watch that shit. Just like no one forces you to watch Teletubbies or Barney or Sesame Street.
Its a genre/character-type preference. If you don't like it don't fucking watch it. And generalizing it as terrible (which im assuming when you meant cancer) is so blatantly opinionated that you didn't even bother putting up a decent reason or rebuttal to back up your statement.

Well kids. Since I'm done with my total BS paper. I'll give you the article that I based a lot for my paper:

http://www.japanesestudies.org.uk/articles/2009/Galbraith.html

'course this may explain moe in Japan. Perhaps it's different in the U.S.
Now I'lll go do my shpeal

- Define Moe in your own words. (In complete-sentence form please)
Moe is that feeling you get when you see something that is irresistibly pure and innocent... to the point of wanting to protect it. To the fujoshi however, it's a phase of fantasizing two (mostly) male human representations in a romantic and sometimes even sexual situation.

- Can you identify the first anime you've seen? When did you started diving into watching anime more on a daily basis?
My first one would probably be Grimm's Fairy Tales when I was 4-5 (shown in Nick Jr. a long time ago...). At the time, I didn't realize it was anime. I dove into it after watching Sailormoon which was around 3rd grade.

-Yes, going by wikipedia, it claims that there are moe character types such as the glasses, the clumsy, the tsundere, etc. Do you think there are more than that? Can you name a few? Do you have a preference?
Moe is a feeling and/or a phase. Since it's so abstract, I can't help but assume that it's something very subjective.

Optional but: In addition, please describe your experiences and examples found in (which) anime pertaining to 'moe'.
Chi's Sweet Home and Chobits would be an obvious one. America and Britain from Hetelia is a good one

Additional: Do you think Ayanami Rei (Evangelion series) and Hotaru Tomoe (Sailormoon series) are considered moe?
Personally, I think so, though from other people otherwise. Tomoe was a funny pun back in the day. To a Japanese philosopher, Azuma says Rei Ayanami would be the turning point of moe's history.
In which case, Hotaru and Rei follow the Japanese moe. age 12-14 (just before reaching puberty), large, pupiless eyes; in a situation that is not within their control, pure, and innocent.
Obviously there's a evolution of moe such as say... Miyuki from Lucky Star. Might have to blame the 'slice-of-life' genre in that one.

I don't feel like writting an essai but well basically a character that is moe is a character that exhebit sexual fetishes. Nowadays it is used as well to describe something that you consider cute (which still refer to some trait that are fetish-ish).

Otaku started to wrongly use the term when they started to labell everything cute as moe. When you think that a character is moe it means that you are sexually attracted to it. But because someone get turned on by cute character does not means that the next person would, and because of people misunderstanding the meanings a second definition propaged.

Hey, no one's stopping you, quit. OR you can complain to the anime industry and see if they might even consider your request. Moe sells. Just like how porn and sex scenes are really unnecessary, but people still buy into that shit.

It's not in every anime really, just gotta know where to look. You can try say the 12 Kingdoms. Great series, no moe in there. So instead of sitting there complaining that moe exists, just be cautious what you watch. If no one is forcing you, then you at least have that much of a choice.

If I'm upset, then you must be upset as well (being you keep coming back to reply). I'm just trying to let it be known why ppl are bitching at you ('cause you asked for it). But if you don't care and won't be slightly more considerate, then I guess i got nothing else to say jerk.

Jigero likes to troll...

...he says he has a college degree. College Degree + Gunpla = superiority complex (apparently). Jig is of course entitled to his opinons but like i said, they're all one sided and baseless. Trolls are just there and refuse to accept that some people like things they don't like.
Example:
"Animes is the actual term for multiple anime" or "Moe is the worst thing ever." His reason? There is none because he's too stupid to explicate on his one liners.

@bolei_cha
you did a school paper on moe?? *facepalm*
Thats almost as bad as this one kid in my class that did a paper on "A Gamers Diet" and he had to provide a presentation. ALMOST. That paper is good on a forum topic but I don't think I'd have the gall to give that to my professor. Although I did read it, its actually pretty good but I couldn't write that for school. Guess you're better than I am. ^_^
On a side note, my definition was exactly the same as yours but i didn't put it in paper.

Trust me. If i had other choices, i'd do it. It was for my Anthropology of Gender, Sexuality, and Body. Don't you think that sounds fitting? Hehe... I'd think it'll be a full challenge than homosexuality, or teenage sexuality, or even masculinity combined! Half of the paper was of course terminology heavy~

I'm not a big fan of moe based shows. (I constantly make light fun of my roommate for watching K-ON considering hes just not the guy you'd ever think would fawn over moe)

However I'll find girls moe in many of the shows I watch. I don't mind if they mix that element in sometimes as long as its not overdone.

I dislike how such a large part of the industry panders to the moe fanbase, but its tolerable right now.
