I still have no idea how they can talk this much while dribbling past the other player. Also nicknames being as cool as ever.

Really happy that it looks like Reo doesn't need or even want Nagi's attention in this match. He's such a great character who was being held back by his own clinginess, but not anymore.

Reo's more focused on himself which is a great development. Gagamaru with the save.

Here comes another 20 chapters just for a single match... 😔

The thing about Blue Lock. The premise of being an egoist and fight for it is truly fresh and it's worth the applaud it gets. But as we may have seen in earlier chapters when everyone on the pitch is going after the ball (and Barou came out on top), we know that the concept of egoism in a team sport such as football/soccer simply doesn't work.

I love football. I watch matches week in week out. Sure, moments of egoism where a player solo run themselves to a goal is magnificent to watch. But in Blue Lock's case, particularly moments like in this chapter when Isagi steals Kaiser's ball, is quite annoying to watch.

I know the author chose this egoist theme and they have to stick with it in a lot of ways. Otherwise, Blue Lock will become another football manga with "power of friendship" attached all over it.

Haha... Even after saying all these, I don't have a solution to this problem for mixing two very contrasting element of egoism and team sport. I guess the only way to enjoy this manga (for me at least) is to enjoy the characters being cringe and edgy.

I've dropped the manga a short time ago, yet I kept coming back to read new chapters, hoping that there is more to Blue Lock other than poor writing and childishly edgy characters... And here I am, still hoping... 😔

I know that feel, antagonist in this series really bad, every arcs only offer the same one dimensional arrogant brat. The worse part of it, they instantly dump the 'antagonist' after the arc end. Rin? Shidou? They completely forgot him. Now we introduced with this shitty sadboi Kunigami, heck, they ruined him. I prefer Yukimiya as antagonist lol. Also Barou become irrelevant to the series. Barou, Rin, Kunigami, they putting too many bitches in this series.

Damn, Reo has evolved a lot. Just imagine how strong Nagi and Chigiri have become. Reo can now pull off Itoshi Sae's moves.

Gagamaru is the goat fr. Loved him from the start. Honestly, one of the most underrated characters. He and Raichi.

Isagi needs to do smth. Bro ain't surviving if he doesn't pull out flow mode or some shit.

i was NOT expecting all that from Reo, I was just expecting him to be a defensive god, but i loved every minute of this. Hopefully he can break through and have his own scoring style soon.
