| Pretty sure Iwasawa was my favorite character when I watched AB for the first time. Such a shame she had to leave so early in the series tho. |
| The music and concerts feel so out of place for me... It just doesn't fit this fantasy/supernatural setting imo. One moment they're using guns, weapons and dying left and right, and next they're playing a concert like K-on! Feels weird, like they're just doing a bunch of fodder activities like meaningless espionage and whatnot, just so they have something to show for the 17 minutes of episode that aren't a concert. I still haven't managed to grasp the importance of what they're doing. Don't get me wrong, the songs are great... But why? |

| Most interesting character leaves the stage figuratively and literally first. Shame that but was a good episode with undeniably good music as well. Hopefully the rest of the cast and story has as high quality as the songs. |

| This was a really good episode. Better than the previous two for sure. The music by girls dead monster is really good. So the NPC's are not just some mindless NPC's they really do act like real humans, huh? Are they going to show us a sad back story of every character from now on? Coz that would be too many emotions, I had to control myself so much not to cry during Iwasawa's backstory and song lol. And did she vanish..? Fuck. Excited for next episode. |

| So maybe they're all stuck in a limbo state, and Angel wants them to lead a "normal life" so they pass on to heaven or something? But if any of them feel fulfilled or are at peace with themselves, they also pass on. The don't want to pass on under the assumption it erases their existence entirely and there is no true afterlife, so they try and kill Angel? I hope Otonashi tries talking with Angel soon. He still obviously has some doubt, and was against them barging into Angel's room and infiltrating her computer. |

| I can't help but agree with the one who started this thread. This is my favorite episode so far, and the song was catchy! I was literally singing along with Iwasawa. I never experienced the life Iwasawa had but I kind of understand how much the song saved her from misery. It gave meaning to her life. |
 She got him back. If you understand the characters well enough, you'd know she did! |

| what an absolute gut wrenching backstory propelling the musical and atmospheric brilliance ; the solemn performance itself. Hell i don't care about the story now .This had my old cold heart moved from the cynical self.Would have loved to hug the lead vocalist and say it's OK. As a person who had a lukewarm childhood i could relate her drowning herself in the sea of music taking her away from the harsh life. 10/10. |

| it took like 10 seconds for me to piece together what happened to iwasawa lmao nice ep! iwasawa's VA is a pretty damn good voice. I'm glad she's found peace now :) yui is adorable |

| So the moment you finally get to fulfil your regretful wish in this afterlife, you actually disappeared or just....like get to finally rest in peace huh. Also now that iwasawa is gone she isn't in the ending visual so everyone going to be removed 1 by 1 like that bruh, that just too sad(Ｔ▽Ｔ). Also the song in this anime is really good. |
| Unfortunately Angel Beats hasn't managed to illicit any deep feelings from me so far. This is the second time a character has told the MC their backstory, and it was even more forced than Yuri's. What is it with these characters telling strangers about their tragic backstories so casually? I don't know who Iwasawa is, so why should I feel invested in her story? Lots of problems so far, but I will continue. Just hoping they slow down a bit with the pacing. |
