Anime: Comedy
Manga: Historical fiction

3. Anime/manga that disappointed you (didn't live up to your expectations)?
Anime: Ergo Proxy, it ended up being one of the most predictable pieces of Cyberpunk media I've experienced.
Manga: Revolutionary Girl Utena, its one of the few things where I whole heartedly believe the anime is better.
4. A character that you want to be like?
I want to be able to rebound like Hanamichi Sakuragi.
5. A character you hate?
Fictional characters aren't really complex enough to actually hate.
6. Are you picky about the anime/manga you watch/read?
I'm not picky about starting things, but I'm really picky about finishing them.
7. Which is the best, watching anime on your phone or computer or TV?
TV, I work at a computer all day, the last thing I want to do is come home and sit in my office chair to watch anime.
8. Favorite anime opening or ending?
Great Days, the final JJBA Diamond is Unbreakable opening.
9. Do you mind spoilers?
At this point in my life I kind of need some spoilers to get invested enough to watch anything longer than twelve episodes.
10. Underrated anime/manga, in your opinion?
Thermae Romae, both the anime and manga.
11. Most anime episodes you watched in a day?
As a teenager, I watched all of Evangelion on a Saturday with a high school girlfriend.
12. Do you care about anime/manga rankings?
I don't care about MAL's anime rankings because the community is incredibly childish and petty.I generally respect MAL's manga rankings because the community is a little more civil and mature, and there's rarely any massive shifts in the ratings due to raids or bots.
13. Do you wanna get isekaid?
Not in the slightest.
14. Long anime (like around 100+ episodes) or short anime (like around 1-24 episodes) or somewhere in the middle (like around 25-99)?
I haven't really seen too many shows that are over 100 episodes that have really managed to justify their length narratively, just HxH since its arcs are so wildly different and JoJo since it constantly relaunches and becomes a new narrative. Most of them just feel like brand management to help move merchandise.
When I was younger I definitely would've said 20-60 episodes is the best, it lets you build u a world and explore it effectively.
But now that I'm old and jaded, the season better be 12 episodes. Make your point quickly and effectively.
15. Anime movies or anime TV series?
I definitely own way more anime movies, and watch more of them with other people.
16. Anime/manga you want to experience again for the first time?
Anime: Probably Fate/Zero or Madoka.
Manga: Stardust Crusaders, it was the first time a battle Shonen manga really "Clicked" for me and I started to understand the appeal of reading the manga.
17. Did anime/manga ever make you cry?
Tear up a bit: Dragon Ball, Eva, Madoka, Fate/Zero, Tokyo Godfathers, FMA, Princess Jelly Fish, Onwards to Our Noble Deaths, Vagabond, Steel Ball Run, Stardust Crusaders, Slam Dunk, Golden Kamuy, Diamond Is Unbreakable, HxH, MHA, Porco Rosso, Belladonna of Sadness, Talk to My Back, The Wind Rises, Vinland Saga, March Comes in like a Lion.
Full on Weeping: Berserk, Pluto, Mob Psycho, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
18. An anime adaptation you would like to see (can be a reboot, for example, Tokyo Ghoul)?
I want them to redo Dragon Ball, from the beginning to the end of Z, but in 130-160 episodes total. Cut out all the charging and monologuing shit that's in the anime and barely in the Manga and just tighten the whole thing up.
19. Do you like anime and/or manga?
I've become a little ambivalent to anime, but I'm a big comics guy in general so I like Manga.
20. If alive and well, do you think you will be watching/reading anime/manga well into the future?
I could probably live without watching anymore anime, but there'll probably always be some Manga mixed in with the rest of my Western and European comics that I read.

There was a time when I used to buy anime magazines to see the spoilers if I wanted to know the spoilers. Also, if I didn't want to know the spoilers, I would go see an anime movie on the first day of its release or something, because I didn't want to see the spoilers.

12. curious about it. I started watching MAL because I care about rankings, and for anime movies, I care about box office and aggregate rankings.

13. I don't really want it. I watch some of ISEKAI's works, but I don't like the genre so much that I get absorbed in watching them.It is enough to watch them occasionally.

14. I used to watch long anime (more than 100 episodes), but recently it has become a chore to watch them, so I prefer short anime (1-24 episodes).

I grew up with it but at some point stopped watching it then later got back into it when i was 15.

In anime Devilman Crybaby and in manga Perfect World.

I found Violet Evergarden's character growth to be very inspiring so i guess her.

Not really if i hear it's good then i'll probably check it out.

I prefer somewhere in the middle, if a series is longer than that then i usually just read it (unless it has a really good adaptation like gintama).

Anime TV series.

In anime Violet Evergarden and in manga Blue Period.

17. Did anime/manga ever make you cry?
I cry often so i'll just list the ones that really messed me up: Clannad After Story, Sousou no Frieren, Made in Abyss, Violet Evergarden and A Silent Voice.

18. An anime adaptation you would like to see (can be a reboot, for example, Tokyo Ghoul)?
I'd really like to see a Fate/type Redline adaptation.

That's a difficult question some days i like anime more and some days i like manga more, i guess it depends on my mood and what i am watching/reading at the time.

Yeah i think i'll be keeping up with anime and manga well into the future.

I don't think I've seen enough anime to say really, I've either liked most or had a fair opinion on every anime I've seen so far, ones I've invested my time and watched / committed to seriously.

Honestly I'd really like to be a character like Mimir from the God of War Franchise. I know this doesn't particularly count, and he's not from an anime but, I really enjoy his kind, respectful, Mindful, very witty intelligent, humble, knowledgeable as well, he's a good side character and just really fun to watch and listen in the games.

Character arctypes I hate are like Josse from the anime movie "josse the tiger and the Fish. Also melty I believe her name was, from "rising of the shield hero" annoying spoiled undeserving disrespectful rude abrasive. Really bad character traits and ones I don't enjoy watching in my animes.

Yes, I sort of am, animes like JoJo's bizarre Adventure, and one piece i can't get into because of the art style. It looks to goofy or to jarring. I know I'll be bashed for this by others fair enough to each their own tho. Call me shallow that's fine.

I used to watch anime on my phone. Now I have a gaming pc, hooked up to my TV as a monitor. Best of both worlds.

This was a really tough question to answer just because there's way to many options and choices. But if I had to answer I would say my favorite anime opening would be either Demon slayer season 1 OP or Rising of the shield hero season 1 OP.

Endings wise, would be High score girl. It's so cute and adorable wholesome as well.

To be honest I don't know if I've ever seen any underrated anime or manga? Haha sorry like I've said before I haven't seen enough to really say. Ohhhh! Maybe like 7 or 8 one time when I was binging hard-core when I was younger.

I sorta do, sorta don't so like I'll see the rankings, and get a feel of why the majority hate it / like it, read some of the reviews, but to each their own right? My dad once told me "Who gives a f#ck what other people think, if you enjoy an anime or anything for that matter then what you think is what should matter" so I keep that in mind. Even though I know there's like a psychologically phenomenon where we tend to sometimes agree with the masses as to not look out of place or seem cool, maybe want to fit in, or join the path of least resistance. Either way I want to just enjoy what i enjoy and not be told otherwise unless I genuinely feel that way myself.

I'm not really sure all the anime I've seen I really enjoyed thoroughly in some capacity, and idk if want to experience them again for the first time, I could sorta just rewatch it. Don't know if this is a fair answer but one I can only give and not lie to myself about.

Yes a few times, when Naruto's parents died, when I watched a silent voice, when March/March died in "to your eternity", in demonslayer when Rui the spider boy was reunited with his parents after he died,and they both accompanied him in hell. When Gytaro and Daki both went to hell together, because she wouldn't leave him.

Tokyo ghoul deserves an honest to goodness reboot, maybe a monster hunter anime that are just like the games. And I don't count the MH riders anime lol.

1. Favorite anime/manga genre?
I guess action/shonen/seinen. A little basic.

2. How old were you when you started watching anime?
I'd say around 6 or 7. That's when I watched Pokemon and the Studio Ghibli movies. First movie was Spirited Away.

3. Anime/manga that disappointed you (didn't live up to your expectations)?
Oshi No Ko. In 2023, I saw everyone hyping this up to be the anime of the year. While it didn't suck per se...it was not as great either. The only thing that really stands out about Oshi No Ko is the prologue, and arguably the opening. But I'm not really a fan of the opening as much as others are. I liked opening 2 more.

4. A character that you want to be like?
Shunsui Kyoraku from Bleach, that guy just has so much aura.

5. A character you hate?
Bartolomeo from One Piece. His whole personality is just glazing the Straw Hats. It's as if he gets paid to do that.

6. Are you picky about the anime/manga you watch/read?
Not really, though I do tend to nitpick sometimes.

7. Which is the best, watching anime on your phone or computer or TV?
On TV. I usually get distracted while on my phone or computer.

8. Favorite anime opening or ending?
There are way too many good openings for me to just choose one. So instead, I will do a few. Bloody Stream, Silhouette, Pegasus Fantasy, Hope, Again, Cruel Angel's Thesis, and River.

9. Do you mind spoilers?
I'm used to getting spoiled at this point so usually I don't care.

10. Underrated anime/manga, in your opinion?
The Great Pretender. I am in the last 2 episodes and it is amazing. 9/10.

I'd say around 10 or 12.

On MyAnimeList? No. It's all subjective.

Absolutely not.

I'd say in the middle, but honestly, I don't mind all of these.

TV Series. You have far more time to work with everything than you do a movie.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I had so many mixed reactions from it, such as being shocked at the ending to Phantom Blood. Or the sudden shift from Hamon to Stands.

17. Did anime/manga ever make you cry?
Surprisingly no. But then again I am not usually one to cry from fiction. I remember some friends looked at me weirdly when I said Coco's ending didn't make me cry (I still loved it though).

18. An anime adaptation you would like to see (can be a reboot, for example, Tokyo Ghoul)?
I'd like to see the Innocent duology by Shinichi Sakamoto get an anime. But I doubt that'll ever happen. His art style is impossible to perfectly replicate.

Yeah, otherwise I wouldn't be here.

Yes, I most likely will.

If I had to choose between One Piece and a girlfriend...I think I'll go with One Piece
