| they really packed a lot into one episode but it never felt rushed. I liked the pacing and it got me hooked. i hope it stays this good. |

| i always find myself initially respecting bright characters that are deep-rooted in their beliefs and stay that way, regardless of if they can actually act out their true noble self or not in front of society. vladilena seems like such character... don't start getting annoying. i don't have any prior knowledge of what this anime is about, other than the two main leads and that it is said to be amazing. i'm partial to corrupt, racist, and wrongly motivated war-time government in mecha genres. (can't confirm if that's 100% the case.) goes without saying then that i'm already into this, deep. i was also hoping that this would be a case of sentient mecha or robots, but it's more of race subjugation. removing human rights renders one to be viewed as lesser than human, and as such, you could claim that there are no human casualties... the ost, sound, and voice acting in this particularly stood out to me. what was that piano track? i had to replay the scene where vladilena is talking to the 86 in her previous squadron after pleiades died, a couple hundred times. i can't get enough of that warped, resentful tone. masterful choux (?) smashing like [squashed brains] as a transition. |
| Didn't waste any time jumping straight into this one! Didn't share any worldbuilding but the general premise has been easy to comprehend thus far. |

| I liked it. Interesting first episode that, perhaps, spent a bit too much time establishing the big picture. But with that out of the way, the focus can now fall on the small, the personal picture, which gains even more meaning with the big picture established. I found myself pausing, rewinding and even slowing down speed while watching. Often, especially in badly designed stories, you tend to do the opposite: to fast forward. I take doing the opposite as a sign that every moment was meaningful and loaded with relevancy to the plot. Of course, the story can go wrong in all possible ways after one episode, but the foundations look good. Off to episode 2! |
| i'm really liking this so far! someone else already said it, but the duality between the alba and 86's lives really stood out to me. i had a feeling that shin was undertaker... he was focused on a bit more and just looked mysterious so that was my hunch. i kinda have a feeling that lena and shin will become an item, seeing as the two of them are pretty focused on in 86 media and that's usually just how the main female and male lead end up anyway. |
| The first episode was nice, even though I have no real clue what is happening. So ye they are at war but most think the machines are empty? Or do they kinda despy them for some reason, so who cares if they die? I mean the hair looks different. In the big city they all had some silver / gray hair while the soildiers had some more natural haircolour. I am curious where this will lead us. |

| I would've preferred the exposition be spread out over more episodes myself. There's no shortage of fictional jargon used in this episode, so it's hard to grasp the meaning of the context behind some of these conversations. Otherwise, looks alright. I'm eager to see if Spearhead can get along with their new Handler, or if they just resent her for being born of the high caste that get to live a less turbulent life. |

| (づ￣ ³￣)づ ちゅっ ちゅっ キス (´｡✪ω✪｡｀) I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;) |
