| That was pretty amazing, Yanagi offering to bring several friends and council members for a road trip is pretty heartwarming. Miyamura's reflection on his school year was pretty important, if it wasn't for that coincidence of encountering Sota with a slight injury, he would have never gotten close with Hori nor would he have gotten close with everyone else in his class and in the student council, all the memories of wholesomeness, joy, and silly moments wouldn't have been a thing for him. Miyamura talking to his past self as well and how far he came in his school life, with his past self congratulating him and his graduation. I am quite sad with how things turned out with Sakura; while she expressed how she had a good year to Ishikawa and happily remained friends with him, she deserves better and should have been dating him. Ishikawa should have been honest about pretending to date Yoshikawa, it broke Sakura's heart. Overall, I still think it is a very good series, had a great time watching the side characters, funny moments, and Miyamura bonding with various other characters. It is quite divided over here compared to Crunchyroll which surprised me. I don't think this episode was horrible by any means, I thought it was pretty great. I give the series a 9/10. |

| oh, well... wasn't convinced by the last bunch of episodes, but as soon as i noticed it was all going to end exactly at graduation day, it had all the potential to go out greatly and yeah, it did. The opening scene that showed the students being asked to take home all their belongings was already pretty entertaining and had some great Hori faces / reactions. My final year of high school was, yeah, actually... 2004-2005, and still to this day i can remember those bittersweet feelings especially or even if because i didn't exactly had the same cool life experiences of those characters, on the contrary... almost the entirety of my classmates soon returned almost complete strangers after getting that piece of paper, and here i am now rooting for some fictional characters wishing they will actually get a driver's licence as they plan to so they can go out more... back in my day, considering italian high school lasts 5 years instead of 3 like the japanese counterpart, it was actually happening quite often that some students went to school already with a car during the final year / months. Miyamura's interactions with his past self hit hard in the feels, glad for him he could change and find a good person for him, unlike... me. Hori's father showing up at the gate and embarrassing her daughter was hilarious, and the final part with holding hands and reflections, with Miya "not being afraid" anymore thanks to her... sweet. It didn't stay strong from start to finish at least for me, but i'm still very satisfied. Art style is unique (with a especially so beautiful main girl) and made the series stand out since the beginning, no despicable characters, some seemed a little underdeveloped with just a season but luckily there's more material to watch and it can compensate. Yeah, convinced i'm gonna start with Missing Pieces (especially considering it has italian dub too) soon. 7,5/10 |

| I was terrified ngl I was so scared thinking the anime was gonna fuck up and go the "It was all a dream.." route I was gonna be so fucking pissed, glad they didn't do that BS. That rooftop scene had me sad though, I really felt sad for the Miyamura who didn't have that fateful coincidence and just lived his life as he would have before meeting Hori after helping lil Sota. That Kono and Toru scene was also very well done, I am glad that Kono wasn't made to be the nerd who falls head over heels for a dude and has no character progression, she handled her situation very maturely and well, certainly one of my favorite characters of a show which already has some of the best I've had the pleasure of seeing in anime. The ending had me tearing up hard man, Miyamura and Hori's relationship really made me envious but more importantly very happy for them, truly one of the best romances in modern anime, I don't think I have enjoyed such a simple yet very entertaining journey like this in anime for a long time. What a great show. |

| Flowery, pretty artistic direction and thoughtful dialogue reflecting realistic high-school insecurities; but the fundamental premise of the series, the romance, is lacklustre. The pairings were boring and samey, with the constant perspective switching giving them no time to develop individually. Moreover, most of the drama was so laughably banal that I couldn't even take it seriously. Entire episodes were dedicated to melodramatic sentimentalism over some worthless student council paperwork. Horimiya is on par with Hyouka when it comes to making a mountain out of a molehill. |
