| Thought the voice actress for Elaina having to act as her with Saya's personality in the previous episode was already impressive only for her to act out a ton of Elainas in this one. Ghoul and gel Elaina are both such a mood. The occasional dip into the dark end between lighthearted adventures is probably what I'm gonna remember from this show the most. It's kind of funny how nonchalantly she mentioned the time she went a decade into the past like it was a relaxing stroll lol |
| Great episode! I like how this anime can surprise and the idea of every episode is always unique. Here Elaina meets her versions from other timelines, who at some point in the past made a different choice. And it was very interesting and cute how Elaina communicates with other versions of herself and all these versions are very cute. But i liked aggressive Elaina with short hair the most, she is so edged and cool. But the other versions of Elaina are also cute. For example, the intellectual megane Elaina or the chunibyo Elaina. And the gloomy Elainas are also funny. In the end there was a teaser with another Elaina? Amnesia looks interesting, i doubt that there will ever be a second season so maybe i will start reading manga. /// Overall, i really liked this anime. Its very unuque and fresh, finally not another cliche anime but really interesting plots, Elaina is not a typical MC who saves everyone and everything, she is interesting and cute heroine with her own personality, atmosphere of this anime is not quite in my taste but its really interesting and pleasant, also there is very high quality art style and good music. Definitely 8/10, a very underrated anime. |
| Who wasn't wondered how different their life would have been had they made different decisions? The last episode pun a nice spin on the eternal existential crisis! The main plot is very straightforward, but there are a lot of layers to it that I'm sure would make for a great essay. It's finally over! It was a mixed ride, but it ended on a very heartwarming note. This one will probably stick with me for a while and not just its dark moments. Let's all write our own journey from here on! Live on, fellas! |

| Elaina doesn't follow a dere archetype, but was still incredibly charming. She definitely comes across as a narcissist, but it never got the point of it being obnoxious. I do appreciate how the story unfolded and how a journey would really unfold. There's exhilarating times, slow times, happy times, and most definitely cruel and harsh times as well The animation and art was honestly really pretty and I loved the background art. Studio C2C works really highlight they they have a resonating relationship with fantasy stories, and it shows I do think the story suffers heavily with the lack of prominent male characters, and not just have them as background filler lol. I understand witches are female only, but is there no such thing as warlocks ? mages ? I mean clearly magic is a well known concept, so surely there's bound to be a bunch of important male characters that uses magic. It just would have been a more dynamic and more natural flow to the experience if that was the case. It's one of those instances where it feels like a girls idol anime. In the sense that practically only women exist in the world and males are either non-existent or are extremely unimportant, and I got that vibe from this. This type of showcasing is even more evident with the presence of "yuri bait" scenes in the anime, that honestly just felt incredibly forced and cringe. It's unfortunate that Saya was present in more than 1 episode, because her interactions are just obnoxious and a drag to see.... But despite that it was still a fun watch. If there's ever a season 2, I'll definitely give it a watch 7/10  |
