Name an anime-inspired film or tv show that you thought was at least just as good as most anime you have watched.
| Kill Bill Vol. 1 is practically an anime film, but in live-action. Tarantino even got Production IG to insert a literal anime sequence for a character's backstory into the movie. It's not subtle about its influence at all and i just frickin' love that movie in general. |
| Speed racer which I think was made by the same guys who did the matrix made me check out the original series and I didn't enjoy it. The film was criticised for its heavy use of unrealistic CG but imo that gave it an edge over the original since it made the racing action very fun while the original 60s version seriously lacks in the animation department. |
