Honestly prefer more screentime for Askeladd rather than Thorfinn.

This show is honestly amazing. It makes you analyse yourself as a person. Especially Askeladd's line "Every human is a slave to something." I thought Thorfinn finally grew mentally but Askeladd found it so easy to push his buttons. Their fight was spectacular until that point. Thor's line "You have no enemies." Also hits hard I didn't appreciate this anime enough when I was younger. Correction I didn't have the capacity to fully understand and appreciate this anime.

And here we go. He lost oooonce again so this will go on even longer. Can't even sigh enough. So he is heartless/no soul like (mostly) kinda robotic. But he seems to loose it when his revenge thingy comes up. Super daddy issues there.

Still not a scratch on Askeladd? He only improved a little bit after all these years. At least he's already OP against the average soldiers.

Nordaland is so pretty that if I were Thorfinn, I'd forget my feud with Askeladd and just take her away to Vinland. I wonder when Thorfinn would visit his mom and sister. They were never shown since the time skip.

Finally, the war to forge the North Sea Empire has begun. Nice, they also showed the young Cnut the Great and, with his death in the far future, the end of the empire and the beginning of the end of the Viking age.

Askeladd knows exacrly what he's doing with Thorfinn it's tragic. The slave girl's intuition about him really wasn't wrong.

Askeladd clearly messed with Thorfinn's head to get his attacks to be fueled by emotion. Nevertheless, he was still obviously on another level. But he let him live. Hopefully he gets another chance again

Definitely confirms further on Thorfinn's motives for Askeladd's demise. He's training to improve himself, Askeladd knows it himself that Thorfinn won't let go of his past, and just lets it be; even using Thorfinn's side to get the best of him as they continue their ongoing inner conflict. I like Bjorn's very laid back personality in this anime.

I really liked Nordaland, she does seem like someone who's just dealing with being a slave.

Indeed, looks like more will be happening in this series with the politics of vikings vs the empire.
