THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
This was a nice episode, incorporating a science fiction trope in a way that works to enhance the story.

The important question of whether a relationship can survive this unusual circumstances, like the disorientation of having met someone yesterday and then suddenly seeing them again aged 30 years- is dodged however.

I kinda feel like the male characters in Silent Mobius exist only for the benefit of female characters as relationship objects, if that makes sense.

^ That's what I've been saying. The male love interests have no personality of their own, and the way they start the relationships is extremely weak.

I feel like the series has very weak worldbuilding because the tragedy of the disaster and the misery of life in 2027 compared to 1997 is seldom conveyed. If they had spent more time building up Yuki's continued loneliness despite her co-workers and her discomfort with the world then this episode would have been much more powerful.

It's a primarily action oriented anime, and even most of the girls don't get much more character development, they just happen to be more on screen by the virtue of someone needing to kick monster butts.
Would like to see a full romance anime instead of this mishmash, but at least I can appreciate that all 3 love interests are respectable men. (And they still have more personality than harem anime protagonists combined)
This dance is the pinnacle of human achievement.
