| @JASHINRYUU I doubt you're still interested in the subject but here's an answer for you : The "lie" refers mainly to some secret Misaki is holding, which she believes makes her romance with Yukari impossible to realize. This is also hinted at in the final episode in her last conversation with Ririna. More than that, lies are a recurring theme through the anime and manga : Ririna and Yukari pretending they don't have feelings for each other, the way Misaki is faking her happiness, or Nisaka displaying a character he's not... It's the way every one of them is torn between being true to their feelings and lying to themselves, for good or bad reasons. You could say it's also about the idea of a perfectly arranged marriage, which could be the point of the author. |

| Moonspeak said it all. The anime is called Love and Lies, each character loves someone and lies equally to the one they love. Yukari double lies Ririan, she lies Yukari, big boobs girl lies riri and yukari, his best friend lies him. It's some sort of a mexican telenovela. |

| Sorry if this doesn't help. Koi to Uso The protagonist loves a girl, in this anime's society love is irrelevant. The girl feels strongly towards our mc as well, but she is a lot smarter than him and keeps him at a comfortable distance. In the mean time the same girl's betrothed also has strong feelings for the mc, finally the mc's betrothed is slowly warming up to him. So in closing there is love, where there shouldn't be and lies to entangle the mc's feelings and society's laws in a messy bow. |
