I guess I'm the only one that felt the pacing was a little fast. I've only read the first volume of the manga (it's all my library had!), but I feel like things in the anime are moving at breakneck speed by comparison. I very rarely read the manga prior to watching the anime however, so perhaps this a normal pace and/or I'm a slow reader.

I also don't find the animation quality egregious. There was one frame by the river where the Escape King had a pretty derpy face, and of course the bear was CGI in Episode 1, but overall I'm still digging the story just as much as I thought I would.

Really interested in the story of far and looking forward to seeing where this goes. It's great so far! The animation looks maybe a little off sometimes but it's really not that bad. Not bad to the point where I would want to drop this and read the manga instead... Seriously people seem to be really critical of it lmao

Shiraishi seems goofy but the guy has a bunch of trump cards lol. The fight of Sugimoto vs the 7th division guy was pretty cool too!

fun little episode. that ainu made me want to go hunting for squirrels using that snare trap method. do they really get lazy? lol

This episode was pretty exciting. Fighting, teamwork and friendship, all things that make it feel good.

I thought it went from the first prisoner to the second quite fast, but that's really nice! I was engaged the entire time.

The soldier from the 7th division was also exciting to see in action, though I wish that scene lasted longer than it did.

Seeing Ainu treatment and tradition is also very interesting to see. I don't know much about the Ainu, but the treatment towards the Ainu people in this anime seem both realistic and respectful.
