Brilliant, just brilliant. The music score, the visuals and the foreshadowing are all perfect. What a solid episode. This anime deserves way more than 380k members

Edit: So people mentioned that the gold scene is a reference to Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold. That makes much sense.

Man. Hopefully Phos can find some redemption and try to save Antarticite eventually.

They got much stronger, but for what price.

Damn, another L for Phos and unlike some others before, Antarcticite couldn't be saved. This will haunt her (ok them; before someone gets triggered)

how a worthless MC like this has so many favorites is confusing to me. what is the lesson learned from this show, be a hinderance to yourself and others and be so gruelingly intolerable that pieces of your psyche break apart and regrow? phos made no progress themselves, no emotional revelations that contributed to this sudden “growth”. and i was likening this series to eva na lol

As weird as it sounds for gem people, Phos is becoming more inhuman every time he gets some new mods. Next episode preview also shows him with a cold expression, probably a combination of guilt and losing memories.

Whata beautiful episode. Man, I really wanted Phos to win, he's become so much more likeable now that the show has started to open up more. I'm really excited for how the gold arms affect the rest of the story, and if Phos will be able to use them properly. Maybe he'll be able to touch Cinnabar now, though idk exactly what Cinnabar affects.

This episode definitely stands out in its brutality. Pho got stronger, but the Lunarians captured Antarticite. There's no going back to the carefree past now.

So far, I do feel like the story has been somehow able to create an open ended lore on the world and what it is instead of relying on a preestablished set of rules, which is good when imagination can run wild and unpredictability becomes a staple it does however make for a confusing situation when what is known even in the universe of the story itself is not set in stone to be truth or lie. I like the story, but confusing is something I think makes it feel unusual to follow up with.

Yeah the blame is on YOU, sensei. Why did you let the fragile and immature Phos have her way? I mean, for the plot reasons it was great, but for the universe's logic, letting her test herself out in the winter with an even weaker gem just predicted tragedy.

The fight scene was crazy af! RIP Antarctictite. As soon as I saw that arrow whiz by, I just knew they were a goner. Phos got new powers again, but my goodness do the gemstones need an all-out rescue mission for their lost allies. Great episode for sure!

I thought for sure she would forget Master or Antarc after losing her arms so it's kinda surprising she remembers them.

So, we finally find out where the Gems are born. Poor that red one.
I’m wondering if “doubles” can happen—like if there could be two people with the same gem, like Amethyst. But I’m not sure whether our two Amethysts are actually twins or not.

Rest well, Antarcticite. That sudden arrow blow really caught me off guard.
With so many people listing them as their favorite, I’m assuming they’ll be back—and come back as a total badass. If not then rest in pieces...

Also, say hello to Golden Phos!
And we even got Kurosawa Tomoyo herself singing the ED sequence in this episode.

It's been 8 episode and i really love the lunarians theme playing in the background
