| Alita gets picked up by the factory and is going to be disposed of since she gets charged with possessing a firearm. Instead of dying, she awakens in a plain white cell room and a tv turns on to show a Zalemite speaking to her, saying that he's talking to her in her dream. He shows her that her actual body is mostly destroyed and her brain is on the verge of dying, if not for his intervention. He says he can spare her life and give her a new body and have her criminal sentence annulled if she agrees to work for Zalem. At first she declines, thinking she'll be turned into a deckman. He then goes on to show her Kimji, which was actually spying on her and feeding them information on her for the past two years. She gets angry and crushes it and then starts laughing as if she's losing it. She then asks if she'll get stronger if she agrees and the man says she will and that her job will be to hunt down Desty Nova as a agent for Zalem. This gets her attention quickly as she begins to think of Ido, so she quickly stands up ready to do what the man on the screen says. He grins knowing he has her now and tells her that all she needs to do is leave the room she's in to start her new life. She decide to take the leap of faith and see where life will take her next. This should be good. I'm looking forward to moving on from Zapan and seeing Alita deal with Desty Nova now. |
