| As you may or may not have read the news, Nyaa is gone for good and I think we (mostly lanblade and I, though) need to discuss about the access to raws for existing SFW anime entries that may have been on there (as even the only source). I know it's a major blow to non-licensed anime which I'm sure most existing copyright holders didn't care about - that they were hosted on Nyaa - but we should consider, after a period of time, removing those anime from the list if other sources on the internet don't have them. 'Period of time' meaning waiting to see if said anime are reuploaded/shared again from replacement Nyaa sites like Nyaa.si, Anidex, etc or find themselves on Tokyo Toshokan and other sites like TT again. Personally, I've noticed aside from Nyaa's public tracker, other trackers that were previously used to distribute those anime were not as reliable as Nyaa, so it will be really hard to find them. If the community doesn't want them removed from the list, I think we should strive to start an initiate of compiling the raws to every anime listed and host it on a single hosting platform or a single person of the community takes the initiative to store them on his or her hard drives (as a backup to online storage) for the foreseeable future. I would love to, but due to the lack of time and apathy towards many anime on the list, I shall be bowing out. P.S. As sharing links to copyrighted content is not allowed on MAL any more (because it is temporarily legit), it may be best to use a reputable online social platform like Reddit, Facebook, etc. for the Subs Fucking Where? club where links to the above hosting platform is provided and shared. I shall let any member of the community create a sub on Reddit or Group on FB. Twitter is NOT the best solution as it is terrible for multi-admin support. |

| On the hush-hush secret Nyaa replacements, I'm currently seeding the raws for: Toki-iro Kaima Shinshuu Sudama-hen Gensei Shugoshin P-hyoro Ikka (is this not currently on the club's master list?) Hengen Taima Yakou Karura Mau! Sendai Kokeshi Enka (also not on list? Could've sworn it used to be) Kasei Yakyoku (I think some enterprising individual has begun fansubbing these OVAs all by herself) Al Caral no Isan Saint Elmo: Hikari no Raihousha Greed (also not on list? Does MAL have a title limit in a club before old entries get booted to make room for new ones?) Umi no Yami, Tsuki no Kage These are all things I originally grabbed on Nyaa, but not all of them have rips listed on AniDB. Karura Mau! and Umi no Yami are both ARR, Toki-iro Kaima is DM1080P.COM, and Gensei Shugoshin is hSa, but everything else appears unlabeled. |

Oh, wasn't aware that it was actually SFW-subs' channel. Problem was that many of the raws shared by from the members of oldanime (hokuto_san-hSa/D.O.M.O.) and ARR are now gone, since many of those torrents with only 1 seeder were only seeded via tracker.nyaa url and not DHT. At least RAWs re-posted from WINNY/bbs/perfect dark/adc/dchub by 役場/permidion/heponeko/inactive/Zero_fansubs.ru can still be salvaged. Shorts and OVAs shared by Anonymoose/TardS/Tard-subs/Tard-raws needs to be saved too, since many of them are still missing from BBT. Any incomplete subbed series (Hamtaro/Kindaichi/Ninkuu etc..) are also missing there as well. The sites backed up almost all of Nyaas torrents so all the torrents can still be found and downloaded. Sadly, that is not how things really work. If the trackers are not the same, you cannot find peers and thereby you cannot seed. This is essentially true for the hosting file sharer. Of course, that is not to say you won't find any peers, especially if you use magnet links, but it would not be to the maximum efficiency. As a side note, if the tracker doesn't allow DHT sharing, it is even harder to find peers. @ramensama92, you are free to do that, but do note that even MEGA is not reliable as torrents because they do remove copyrighted material. Just make sure to post the link (not the whole link, but in parts so it is not hyperlinked), in the SFW subreddit that Reinhard made. @Reinhard, it is alchie11 @ShojoSamurai, no we don't have a IRC channel. Mainly because it was never necessary and because the SFW fansub group (which has no relation to us) kind of took the channel name, at least on Rizon. Nevertheless, among other channels, I am pretty much hosted on #ray=out on Rizon if anyone of you want to come by and get it touch. The official MAL channel doesn't do file sharing. I have all Machiko Sensei raws, but considering it is being subtitled in English (see CR) through a special case (technically not licensed), there is no point sharing them at this time. Might be better to wait to see if all 95 episodes are subtitled. |

| @ramensama92 Make sure to post the MEGA private key separately from the main URL, reddit has several DMCA bots crawling links. @japzone If original uploader created the torrent file with DHT/peer turned off, then if becomes a problem. You might come across cases like this once a while. |

| checking list with my raw source providers going alphabetically adding notes to spreadsheet of who has what purging list of anime that no longer qualify since the last time they were looked it (fansubbers picked it up/full foreign dub release available/etc.) will reconvene in a few days currently at alphabet letter J |

| @Reinhard I updated rule 15 because an example was given no longer works due to a release made post-rule creation. For everyone else (please read all the way through then comment since there's some backtracking): List of anime removed from the club and why Overall we dropped about 100 anime from the club. Which is great b/c that makes the club more manageable. I can't house big-boy RAWs myself, I've got my hands full housing Shorts and subbed anime which is my decade+ forte. All the anime in the club list currently have live torrents available from my RAW providers except everything below this paragraph. These anime listed below had releases by groups on Nyaa (according to AniDB) but now who knows if anyone is seeding through magnets or whatever. They do have 'secondary RAWs' available on Amazon, Tsutaya, Gayao, etc. so they still qualify for the club. But I just wanted to have a list of "technically already ripped RAWs should be around somewhere but IDK if anyone is still backing them". I need help with these. These below had group release them (ARR, hSa, etc.) as listed on AniDB but I am struggling to find a "secondary RAW" source such as an Amazon DVD or a VHS on Tsutaya. My eyeballs are so tired at looking at anime entries, can someone do some digging? B/c these are our hottest button item. If we can't find a secondary RAW source then we are dependent on those mystery torrents. Which is the thing we'll have to comb through and eliminate from the club if it doesn't have backers. can't sub a dead anime Unless someone you know has it or you have it. |
