Not since sport have I found a form of entertainment that resonates with me on such an intimate level. Unlike sport, however, it stimulated the analytical parts of my brain. It is more than our hobby but it doesn't warrant the negative connotations of being an "obsession". Its a part of me, that's all.
Also I like da animu bewbies

I stopped hopelessly dreaming about becoming a respectable adult and embraced the trash life.

It made me meet my boyfriend and start studying Japanese at university... So it has influenced me in a lot of ways, at the very least.

It saved my life to be honest. This is why I despise trashing the medium.

It greatly bettered my emotional state in quite a few aspects when there were certainly times where I was on verge of ending my existence, so yes. The aesthetic, story, and escapism value definitely made me appreciate life a lot more.

It helped me psychologically, and it's basically a way for me to escape reality.
My mood has been better and my mental health has improved since then :3

Hard to say if it changed anything for the better considering the fact that we don't know what we would have done with our time otherwise. But i like to think that i learn things from the shows i watch and that it makes me a better person. Although usually the feeling that a certain anime has "changed your thinking forever" tends to disappear as time passes and you forget about the anime IMO.

Opened my mind to a few things. Broaden my whole aspect that's about it.

Hmm, not really anime itself, anime was the gateway to discovering manga and my love of comic books as a medium.
