| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well, I guess this was a decent way to wrap things up, but it also just didn't have much impact. Things come to a close, and there's an anti-war anti-nuke message which is just not subtle at all, and it basically just blatant and feels more like a public service announcement instead of a theme. It also feels very forced into this story, which has been an action tale up until this point. Anyway, the action in this episode was kind of a big spectacle, but all of it felt sort of boring. There were a few nice parts in the animation here, but it still felt like this final episode was still created on a tight budget. Oh, and the subtitles still sucked, but that's to be expected at this point. Overall, the show ended up being pretty disappointing. Some parts of it, such as the animation and the soundtrack made it feel like this could have been something better... something at least sort of entertaining. But, even these parts felt middling... and they dropped the ball in so many other places that it makes it kind of a slog to sit through, even though it's not the worst thing I've ever seen. |

| This would have been just another mediocre early 2000s show, but those subs make the viewing experience so painful that it taints the show itself. |
