| Was recommended to me by a friend, I’ve heard of the name, but didn’t know what it was about, perhaps an edgy princess that becomes a samurai?? Idk bro. Anyway while watching the first episode I was getting the impression that it was just going to be another one of those nice innocent little anime, like Snow White with the red hair or whatever it’s called, for example. But then her dad gets freakin stabbed by her childhood crush who also happens to be her cousin so yeah |

| L O L I was laughing so much at Hak. Especially when Yona was like ohhh Hak proposed to me~~~~~ trollllolllll his reaction was hilarious!!!! Hak is just.....perfect ♡_____♡ Maeno Tomoaki’s voice suits him well! I knew Suwon was sus but I didn’t expect that he would be the one who would kill the king. I thought it would be the other sus guy lol. RIP Yona’s father he doted on her & was pretty pleasant for a king, admitting his own flaws of being “cowardly” I really like the ED! |

| Having rewatched this numerous times, it always pains me a little to watch Su-Won interact with Yona and Hak as if nothing is going to happen. Like his reaction when Yona professes to him. What must he have been thinking, knowing what he planned to do? As an antagonist, Su-Won is challenging to dislike, especially as the story progresses and you learn more of the truth. This is one of my favorite animes and I wish they would continue the story with the manga. |
