| Those episodes about Noland made me feel really bad about the whole Shandian situation... His story is pretty sad, he died without getting to meet his friend once again and with everyone thinking that he is a liar, although he was telling the truth :/ Those 3 episodes were one of my favorites in this arc. |

| Great storytelling and nice touch to the storybook from Jaya. So sad though. I don't understand why Noland would tell the King there's a city of gold (unless he's just very honest) for the king to invade when Noland cared so much for the people of Jaya (despite the island being blasted up by the knock up stream). Either way, I enjoyed these episodes. |
| in the vestiges of history the courage shown by the Shandians will be heard as long as the bell tolls. Rather happy the two didn't meet .The king was upto no good and would have soured the relation between two great men. Verifies and showcases why the Shandians have deep sheathed hatred for Skypiea.Attacked with all might without warnings when they were at their absolute low. Wyper my man don't die ,as a descendent of Calgara you have a duty to fill |

| I gotta say despite what little time we’ve had spent with Noland and Kalgara are probably the best supporting characters that I’ve seen so far in One Piece. This episode was truly awesome I must say, it answered a lot of questions that I did have about Skypiea and I’m glad they decided to tell this before the final fight with Eneru because if it was shown after the fight then I don’t think there would’ve been a big impact like it did here. Both those two died because they were regretting what had happened and they had promised to meet again on the same patch of land so long as the Shandians kept ringing the bell. I don’t think the Shandians would’ve won either way because the king would’ve probably raided and pillaged the gold for himself which there was no doubt what he was going to do if the island wasn’t missing and basically called Noland a liar and executed him. The relationship would’ve gotten a whole lot sour after that because Noland wouldn’t have wanted to live with himself if that ever happened. Very well thought out in terms of a backstory and I really liked how each episode for this kept building and building on the last one. Not much to say but this episode was awesome, plain and simple. |
