| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow beginners luck or not, Ayako's winnings trumped their bad luck at gambling though they made up for it in the Gear Fight. It seems the Jaou Plate interfaces with mecha and boosts their capabilities...reminds of Lagann in TTGL. I guess in next and last episode they'll have to blockade Earth so our heroines don't get there at all. |

| So many things happened this episode, it was a good one I guess. The series improved and those characters grew onto me. I liked especially the scene with quarrel between Wakana and Paraila at the hotel, it gave their characters a lot of depth (and it was also nice to watch Ayako and Maako doing thing in the background :D) Final confrontation battle was good and it seems our heroines have finally found that no matter the quarrels there is strong friendship running between them from now on. The preview was very nude-centric though :D I bet there would be plenthora of the fanservice in the last episode if they want to put all those suits and "dresses" in. |

I have a feeling that the "this has nothing to do with the story" hints that the "preview" was just the animators goofing around. I mean the "previews" in this anime are usually just goofs anyhow. |

| I really wanted to like this series more though I was aware that the ratings suggested I might not enjoy it too much. I think the main issue I'm having is we never really had a chance to get to know the characters before they started on their journey of madness back to earth. As such I just haven't really connected with the personalities of everyone to really find their interactions funny. The animation is incredible and I like the ost but the jokes aren't landing with me at all. Doesn't help that this OVA is heavily influenced by 70's japanese comedies (from what I understand) and well unsurprisingly I don't know the last thing about those. Anyway one more episode to go... |
| I liked this episode more, the artistry is simply on point. The masked ramen guy and the first game they played was really cool. |
