But that is the point, that the fact HxH was quite complex for a shonen so it is not a generic and typical shonen. |

| How I determine typical battle shounen is: MC is kid/teenagers, Kid got dream and power, Kid found some friend on the same age with him and had equal power if not stronger than the Kid. Kid go on to the first Arc and found an overpowered dude and that dude become the goal of the Kid (whether to beat him or be like him) |
