86 is enjoyable but idk - I prefer my mecha series to have cool hero suits which 86 lacks.
Looking back on it now I literally cannot remember anything about it other than boohoo war bad child soliders.
I don't think that those themes really make it stand out - infact I would say IBO mogs it in terms of "style", to which I would say is a pretty comparable series, sharing the themes of child soliders and later on the enemies are also pretty similar

God I loved this series so much. Mostly every episode was an absolute joy to watch.
My only complaint is that Mizuki didn't need to exist. There was no point in him being there - especially as more established characters also have a crush on Aoba which work better as being a rival to Ko.

Edgerunners did a lot right, and I enjoyed parts of it as a fan of the game - however I could not overlook the pacing which felt too rushed, and the tone deaf commedic chase scene during what should be a serious moment
Purely from a mood and style perspecitve it would easily be a 8/10 - but the chase scene towards the end really killed it for me

Idk how to grade this. I liked the animation. Plot was pretty generic. I like cute girl band shows, but this felt like it has too much "angst" for my taste. Towards the end it also started feeling pretty rushed? I also don't really like most of the characters other than Subaru, which is quite dissapointing because I like their designs a lot.
The music from the band is okay. I don't think any of the songs are that memorable though. As I type this I cannot even recall how any of them go.
The OST is really good on the other hand, and I will probably listen to that again.
Objectively its just under a 7/10. I didn't really enjoy it that much though compared to other band series.

I quite like the dark fantasy aspect of goblin slayer - and this is honestly the best part of the series. Its just down hill after here.

Mixed feelings tbh. I enjoyed it overall, but at times I found it quite frustrating. Mayu's character felt like a bit of an artificial road block and the second she got introduced, as well as the concept of multiple auditions - it played out exactly how I thought it would.
I think it's not really the way I wanted it to play out, and that's why I have mixed feelings - it felt like it was ass pulled to be this way really lol. 7.5/10, not quite an 8.

I kinda get why its a movie rather than a series - but I feel like if suffers from not really being able to breathe much. Its needs to get through so much and it felt as though it could have benefited from an episodic format, being two separate movies or even just a longer run time perhaps? It just felt quite rushed in places.
I think it makes me appreciate Liz and the blue bird even more - as a supplement to this academic year.
New characters are alright, but their story lines were not that fleshed out due to the runtime - thats about it really. Like a high 6 or low 7/10? Definitely the low point of the series.
