50 Beck
One of the best music anime to exist and definitely one of the best themed around rock music in particular. Sure, the formula of a band trying to make it big with some teen love melodrama isn't new, but, the characters are great and it's one of those rare shows where the dub beats the sub both in terms of acting and music performance.

55 Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Crystal
Most people know Sailor Moon from the manga or watching the 90s anime. I remember trying to give Crystal a shot when it first released but like many others, I remember how dog shit the art in those first few episodes that aired looked and I dropped it. Fast forward a few years later, Crystal is one of the most visually stunning adaptations of the franchise I have ever seen. Best of all there is no filler and it adapts the manga faithfully. A long time ago, I would have considered this franchise to be goofy, but, after watching it, I love how it was able to blend superhero elements with a the aesthetics of Greek and Roman mythology in it's world building and visuals along with stunning fairy tale aesthetics that would put most classic Disney Princess media to shame. The score is also great and the characters are really likable as well.

This anime deserves way more love. Sure the action scenes might not be the best animated or directed but the characters, the soundtrack, and the visually spectacular OP themes are all worth it and it really captures the essence of 2000s vampire anime media perfectly.

71 Bocchi the Rock!
I love K-On! Really I do. But this is the superior version of that type of story and even better yet, it feels like it took the best elements of Beck and updated more for the current generation of rock and alternative music fans. Also the meme humor was a major plus in allowing the animators to creatively express the jokes in a visual manner. Plus the soundtrack fucking slaps.

72 Boku no Hero Academia
I know a lot of people like to clown on MHA, especially after the turn it took, but, considering this series is still better than anything Marvel or DC can write in comic books these days and the fact that the reason why it's popular is because former Marvel and DC readers are using something familiar like superheroes to get into anime and manga makes it easier to understand the hype and appeal behind this show. Especially considering that I used to be a former Marvel/DC fanboy and used to collect comic books. Hell, I even made a whole video on my YouTube channel explaining it's success. So while as a shounen, I do agree MHA is meh, but, as a superhero story taking influence from better eras of superhero comics, it is deserving of this 9/10 rating (at least fro the first three seasons that is).

77 Bokutachi no Remake
A time travel anime that doesn't have a main character trying to prevent people from dying but is actually about him trying to make better decisions that will lead him to becoming the successful artist that he always wished to be? Count me in. This anime was rather short and I wished it has a 24 episode run but I will say it was time well spent and I loved every minute of it.

Pretty interesting spin-off that takes place in the Bleach universe. Would love to see a crossover one day or a full manga series. While short, it did present some interesting ideas. It's just unfortunate that the short run time doesn't allow for a lot of exploration or expansion of those ideas. But, in true Kubo fashion, this is visually and aesthetically pleasing to look at with great music and other Kubo stylistic flairs.

One of the few dark fantasy series to properly carry the torch from Berserk and not feel edgy or try hard like certain other series. With a cast of great characters, brilliant visuals, interesting world building, compelling themes, and a great soundtrack, Claymore is what you should be watching if you haven't been able to find anything else like Berserk or are tired of low budget live action garbage like The Witcher: Blood Origin.

One of the rare instances where I gave a show a high rating based on it's beautiful marriage of combining outrageously stylized visuals with some incredible music of a variety of different genres from more mainstream styles like EDM and synth pop to more underground styles like post-black metal and grindcore. Story-wise it's not as great as something like Ghost In The Shell, Texhnolyze, or Ergo Proxy but it's still fairly good compared to most modern cyberpunk media which feels soulless, sanitized, and corporatized.

138 Eikoku Koi Monogatari Emma
Emma: A Victorian Romance is without a doubt one of the best historical romance stories I have experienced in all of fiction. As a fan of any media concerning the Victorian period in British history, fictional or otherwise, I was instantly hooked not only by the attention to historical detail in this series, but, the visual and musical aesthetic of the show which reminded me a lot of charm of the BBC animated shows like Brambly Hedge or The Tales Of Beatrix Potter that I grew up with as a child but with the level of romance storytelling that can only be found in a light novel/anime series like Spice & Wolf which is my second favourite series after Berserk.

The English dub which was crowdfunded and independently produced through one of Right Stuf Anime's partners is top notch and you could really tell the voice actors cared a lot about bringing this story to life and giving it the reverence and respect it deserves.

Emma as a character has become one of my favourite female lead characters of all time due to her quiet but strong and determined demeanor and despite being of what was considered to be a lower social class at the time, she is a figure that embodies what it truly means to be a lady. I would easily recommend this show to people over and above the historical revisionism of modern Netflix, BBC, and other Western studios shows as the creator of this series, Kaoru Mori has a lot more respect for history than any crybaby activist type in the modern entertainment landscape.

142 Enen no Shouboutai
This series doesn't get nearly enough love. Sure it's no masterpiece and yes, Tamaki's fan service isn't executed very well, but, everything else about this franchise is amazing from the characters to the visuals to the music. My only other complaint is that every OP theme gets amazing visuals except for the second OP by Japanese metalcore titans, coldrain. That song deserved the same level of top tier visual treatment as the others regardless of how the staff may have felt about heavy styles of music.

Not only that but more supernatural aspect in later episodes doesn't feel jarring or take anything away from it. What makes this anime great is how it is able to take the daily struggles of working, paying rent and other living expenses, and turns it into a hilarious but heartwarming story about someone who had everything and is still very much a selfish, entitled brat, but, over time learns to grow and appreciate the satisfaction of actually earning your rewards yourself.

This anime was great. Some people might call it a Black Lagoon clone but I disagree. While not as great as the aforementioned series, this anime is just entertaining from start to finish and it's cast of characters are very interesting and endearing. All in all a good watch.

The plot for this series is rather middle of the road and at times all over the place. Some of the characters are way too cookie cutter at times but the visual aesthetic and musical style of this show make it worth watching and the Bleach influences can definitely be felt which is a plus in my books.

While I do wish that this series focused more on the music side of things, I have seen enough cute girls doing cute things shows to find this one entertaining enough to sit through. Also the few bits of music in the show such as Fuwa Fuwa time are actually really good J-Rock tracks so it wasn't the let down that a lot of folks had set it up to be for me.

This anime could have been a 9/10 if it had more episodes as the last two episodes were very rushed indeed. This series felt like a wonderful combination of the late 90s/early 2000s era of Disney/Dreamworks action adventure films like Treasure Planet, Atlantis, and Sinbad mixed with Yona Of The Dawn and I was kind of hoping it would have stayed at the pace it was going until the finale. Sadly we wound up with a rushed project with a lot loose ends that didn't get closure. I don't normally do this often but I have given this anime an 8/10 based purely on the fact that the first 85% of the anime is really well done and well worth your time.

The main character is insufferable and the overall plot makes no sense but the other characters are entertaining enough to make me continue watching and there is some good comedy from time to time.
