Similar fractured method of storytelling.

In a nutshell, both have the same psychological concept; the only difference is Paranoia Agent took the path of being dark and gruesome instead of being light and funny which is Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai.

Producers:FUNimation and Entertainment Genres:Drama, Ecchi, Romance, Harem Rating: R+ - Mild Nudity They both have similar type of animation. And if you liked Shuffle, you will like Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai. :)

Both anime combine splendid art and ecchi comedy with a thought-provoking narrative that is largely dialogue driven.

Both shows can be confusing in the beginning and their reputation has probably unduly suffered because of that. If you like comedy, ecchi, fantastic art, and a bit of drama, then both these shows deliver.

Both are harem anime with nudity and dark plots that never get too dark.

Both have huge cast. Some characters have split personalities which additionally multiplies main cast. Non-linear and sometimes unpredictable plot where actual storyline is composed of several seemingly distinct stories set in one city. Both shows are psychological although they don't seem that way at the beginning.

A seemingly random plot that comes together nicely at the end, delivering lots of comedy and ecchi goodness along the way.

Many may not have noticed, but this anime has great similarities with Angel Beats. (0 spoilers) - Many minor characters that have not fully developed their history, but they are important for the development of the main characters. - The main character seeks to know more about himself. - The comedy predominates, but there are serious scenes in the same manner as Angel Beats. - The main character suffers from a problem that must be overcome for him to continue with life (can not say that it is with life in Angel Beats). - There are people with the same problem around the main character. - [This point is personal] Although not  read more

Both animes have unhealthy amount of questionable fan service, yet despite that they are both deep and have very high quality writing and characters.

Though Oretsuba focuses more on the fanservice, I do think that these 2 are similar as they are both talking about a specific psychological issue. Orestuba talks Multiple personality disorder while NHK talks about Hikkikomori. both series also talks about how the main character copes up with their psychological issues

Both are rather ecchi-heavy and are harems. They both, however, also have strong storylines so the fanservice doesn't feel so copious. The animating styles of both are beautiful and have high production value. Both also have at least one pretty explicit sex scene, bordering on hentai in "We Without Wings", only saved by the fact that you don't see anybody's junk. It is justified though, since it happens in a daydream. This also explains why it is presented in such an over-sexualized and pornographic way in "We Without Wings".

Semi-serious ecchi and slice of life comedies that have fantastic art and occasional nudity.
report Recommended by shigeru212
Ecchi comedies that leave some room for the serious stuff. Additionally, both shows have the same director and fantastic character designs. Oretachi has more slice of life and psychological elements while Omamori Himari has more action.

Similar character interactions and resembling art style. White symphony tends to deal with generic, innocent comedy, whereas Ore-tachi is more mature, fan-service satire, with a fantasy twist. If you like one you will definitively find the other enjoyable.

Ecchii-ness , Both touches on awkward topics that makes, u cant help but just laugh. Obvs by the year difference Oretachi is a smoother on the eyes. though imo both decent animes

After the first few episodes of Majikoi, I felt some similiarity between these two series. They both have kinda the same atmosphere, and in both few characters twaddle talking pretty fast and the humour in it resembles each other. (ex. Majikoi's Mayuzumi Yukie and Oretsuba's Haneda Kobato)

Would be spoilers to say the main reason why but both are loaded with mind fuck and have some very nice fan service.

Both are slice of life and from time to time go to a different world, Very confusing at first, It is also quiet dark in my opinion

Both shows are partially driven by compelling friendships and day-to day activities, almost like a slice-of-life anime. However both have ecchi, comedy and psychological elements fused with the aforementioned description, creating an unique experience.

Both anime have the same type of mental illness as a core theme, but Mahoraba has a sensitivity and charm that makes it the better show by a long way.

Harem anime, although I use the term loosely, that each have one mind-numbing twist that will shock and delight the uninitiated.

Both are shows that have lots of ecchi and shift frequently between comedy and drama.
