Sinbad's Adventures...In the current era, we have other anime titles of Sinbad; in 1975 we have Arabian Nights: Sindbad no Bouken (TV), and in 2014 we have Magi: Sinbad no Bouken, in 2015 there's Sindbad: The Flying Princess and the Secret Island.
It's really sad to review such a heritage anime especially at these times; anime in the past overall wasn't as complex as today's anime; at least for me.
It's too bland, it lacks complexity, it lacks explanations, it's so random and stupid; alot of characters decisions were irrational, those unreasonable unexplaned decisions were just there for the plot advance that only kids will buy it. I can't really give a proper description for the story; it's an adventure to the unknown.
Bland as fuck; no backstories, no development (except for the predictable romance), villains on the other hand were villains because of stupid irrational motives or unexplained reasons.
Sinbad (Sindbad is the correct spelling) was the worst sinbad I've seen so far; he's bland, emotionless. His one and only motive is to travel the sea; and that's actually the basic premise of every sindbad story.
The art is cartoonish; this should be expected because this is pretty old anime.
Annoying as usual (when they call out/scream), this is also expected from such a heritage anime.
Even though the few developments of characters and the ending were too predictable. The movie still holds the adventuring feel; the random unpredictable events that happen during their journey which is nice. read more
