Interest StacksYou won't need to read the manga/novel or wait for a second season. "Is that a, uh, um, some reference?" Isekai is a genre about traveling to another world (setting), most commonly without the ability to return back. This inhumanly derivative, formulaic, escapist, consumerist and incestuous genre is one of my guilty pleasures, and in my journey through it I have found some good stuff. Here are shows which either execute the classic isekai tropes well and simply have quality, or shows that may not be the best, but which at least have an interesting execution of the isekai concept that subverts expectations or at least isn't so derivative, generic or mediocre as others. Anime that is already completed and will never get a season 2 either because it's original or anime adapts the whole source material. Some will not get a squeal either because the manga has already ended or the anime is too old to get a season 2. This is a list full of tearjerkers/sad dramas. If you didn't cry while watching any of these anime/movies, then you might be heartless. Sorted by how grim it is. The first items are very digestible, After Id:invaded the darker stuff starts. My favorite romance animes that will hopefully leave you with a satisfaction at the end <3 These are all animes that made my cry. Various quality anime with a classroom setting, that bends the usual everyday life with a bit of a twist, making the class more… unique. I mean, there’s just something off about it. And the characters are quite eccentric. Don’t you think so? Which unusual classroom shall we traverse to next?!? If you are into poker face girls... this is your anime list to watch The biggest or best rated completed anime from the biggest studios Overflowing with situational comedy, the everyday school life of the most ordinary teenagers, a large number of side characters with various funny gimmicks that create a kind of elusion of the reality of this quirky world. The fun soundtrack, the urban setting, and the vibes of old teen shows from my childhood are one of the most valuable things I love about anime. I've always been particularly fond of big-cast shows like this because of the nostalgic high school atmosphere and sitcom style of humor they provided, so I wanted to create a separate list for that. |
